I'd like to know the answer to that too! Although compared to European
prices, every single piece of fabric in the USA is a great price. I go to flea markets and often find bargains. But there seems to be a Murphy-ish sort of rule: Any fabric you really want to complete a quilt will not be on sale at the moment you need it most. Roberta in D wrote in message ... Well, I just happened upon this site (thanks to my husband) and asked a question about a quilting program (looks like I will be buying the EQ5!) The responses have been quite helpful, so I decided to ask all of you where I can get good fabric at a great price? I look on Ebay and see that I can get a FQ for $4.00, or fabric for $10.00/yd. I know that I can go to JoAnn Fabric and get a FQ for $1.29, and fabric for about $3.99/yd, but I don't always have the time with two children and their choices in fabric leave a lot to be desired. I would appreciate any suggestions of places online to buy fabric. Thanks so much! Tess in Hastings, Minnesota |

Get on JoAnn's mailing lists. The snail mail flyer (once every couple of weeks) contains a coupon for 50% off one item. The coupon on the last couple of flyers I received was only for 40% off. That is still a pretty good discount. Julia in MN -- This message has been scanned for viruses by Norton Anti-Virus http://mail.chartermi.net/~jaccola/ |

Thanks, Debbie. I live in Minnesota, but L.A., CA is my second home

There is a nice quilt shop in Cannon Falls called Quilts by the Falls
and one in Oakdale called The Quilted Shingle. They are not places you go for inexpensive fabric, but both are reasonably close to Hastings. Julia in MN -- This message has been scanned for viruses by Norton Anti-Virus http://mail.chartermi.net/~jaccola/ |

www.quiltshops.com is an umbrella over about 125 shops. Some are kind
of expensive but a lot are fairly reasonable. I've been satisfied with the one's I've dealt with . You could type EQ5 into the search and it will give you links to all shops that have it. Quilt Blessings is where I got mine. They had a sale last fall. They might be worth keeping an eye on. Kathryn in Mi. |
