Thanks so very much ! I am using the Lion one but have a question. The man
size chest is 38 inches. How many inches to add on to that for a finished sweater? |

You can figure out what the finished size is by looking at the number of
stitches you are knitting and divide that by the gauge count. For example, if you are knitting 100 stitches and the gauge is 4 stitches to the inch, you divide 100 by 4 and get 25 stitches wide. (And if you are knitting front and back separately, then you would double that amount, for a 50 inch finished sweater.) Hope that helps. Janise "BDS2pds" wrote in message ... Thanks so very much ! Ohhhh I am writing that down!! Also if you take the man's chest measurement,
how much wider must the sweater be? |

I don't think there is a "must". Everyone is different. Some people like
their sweaters loose and others tight. You should use one of your current sweaters and base the new sweater on the measurements of that...preferably a "perfect fit" sweater. Then you can knit your own sweater with measurements that you know will work for you. Janise "BDS2pds" wrote in message ... Ohhhh I am writing that down!!
