HOUSTON 2004
yeah, i'm yellin' !!!
okay, here goes... the first formal request for info on who thinks they may possibly, or knows fer shure they will, be attending the International Quilt Festival in Houston in 2004. I put together a list from my not so good memory and notes from the end of last show, but i KNOW i've missed some of you and i KNOW some have changed plans just not sure who sheepish grin. I am starting to collate names and such of those coming! Last 2 yrs I made a spreadsheet and we had a listserve going to get everyone organized so we wouldn't miss each other. KCK was the ringleader and I was the behind the scenes sidekick... We will try to have a field trip for y'all on Thursday again and we are gonna do our darndest to not miss anyone at the lunch meetups! Will also look into getting TDB this year. To that end, we are working on ways we can plan and share and whathaveyou for anyone going to the same class, or making smaller get togethers for dinners or traveling around while here. More info on how to join that will be coming soon!!! Last year we had about 3 dozen of us meetup at the lunch area on Saturday. It was wonderful!!!! If you have read this far and still haven't a clue what the IQF is go here http://www.quilts.com/index.htm . They will have classes listed there soon and much more info. My semi list is below. I would only like from you now.... Name Screen name valid email coming/possibly coming/not gonna make it this year (keep on list/drop off list) We'll share other details later when we get y'all signed up to the list. You can send info to me on the newsgroup or at my email, but i may not catch it here, so if you could copy me at "bergerk at sbcglobal dot net" so i don't miss anyone i would appreciate it! Okay budget here goes......the US dollar is really good against the Aussie
dollar so you'll get good value for money. You can stay at some wonderful hotels right near where the conference is at quite cheap prices. I know where the best places to eat and shop are so you'll spend lots of....oh hang on that one should have been on a different list! But you get the idea! -- Sharon From Melbourne Australia (Queen of Down Under) (doing her best to promote TTA - Tourism To Australia) http://www.geocities.com/shazrules/craft.html "Kellie J.
