I top 275. I am a loving, bright, funny and generous person. I am also
pretty - at least my hubby and I think so. If someone doesn't like me
because of my large tummy, bubbly butt, droopy boobs, flabby arms and double
chin, well, **** them! How sad for them that they can't see beyond, and
that fat is ugly to them. The Goddess of Willidorf (sp?) is freaking fat,
and she's gorgeous and replicated all over the place. I like me, and that's
all that matters. Okay, I feel better now. Hopefully your friend is
able to see that this is MIL's problem and not hers.

Jo Jo, would I be right in guessing that the "fat" roommate doesn't

weigh
more than a big muscular man? I can't imagine wanting to own a chair

that
couldn't accomodate Arnold Schwartenegger (eg). And she doesn't top 300
lbs, does she

I would imagine that Pam is in the high 200 range. She has a heart of

gold and
people can only see her body. It just makes me sick. I'm pretty

overweight
myself and I have this tendency to just not pay much attention to people

but
I've heard comments, mostly from teenagers and younger kids. And I hate

the
way my body looks but damn, we are not our bodies. How can you hate a

person
because of their body without even knowing the person? Makes no sence to

me.
And the chair has nothing to do with her, its just a stupid another excuse

for
her to dislike Pam. My sil & I have discussed my mil's strange dislikes

and
came to the conclusion a long time ago that there is no changing her mind

on
anything so mostly we ignore her but sometimes its just hard to ignore

certain
things. When it bothers me this much, I just have to walk away from it.

She
has always been very racist and then her grandaughter had a child by a

black
guy and OMG, the things she said. She didn't think she could love Brandan

but
she is ga ga over that kid and of all the people in the family, Brandan

goes to
her first. Go figure.

Pretty big head on your MIL.

She's just a strange woman. She can be so nice and loves to do stuff for you
but her mind... well its different than anyone else I know. My husband doesn't
think like she does. His oldest brother, he's got some of her traits but he's
not as vocal around us. The majority of people don't know this stuff about my
mil. Its just the family that knows her so well. When dh & I first got
married 26 years ago, I can remember my mil saying she hated old people and if
she lived to be 65 she wanted someone to shoot her. When my sil reminded her
years later that she said that, well, lets say she has a selective memory and
would rather not be shot.

You've got a great attitude to. Its amazing that my dh was raised by my mil
and he's married to someone who is a plus sized gal.

And Noah told the duck, "Get thee into the Ark" and the duck said - "or
what?"

When I was getting sober, they told me at AA that a **** You attitude would
prevent me from getting well. I didn't, and don't, agree. There are far,
far many more women with addiction who suffer from too little ego -- sense
of self and their rightness -- than who suffer from too much.

Dollface, you ARE pretty. Look at the photos of you that used to be on the RCB
photo page! You are twinkling and satin and blush.

Hey! Are we sisters? That's MY mom!

Maybe your mom and my mil are long lost sisters. My mil just turned 79 and she
gets worse the older she gets. I told my sil that she honestly thinks the way
she feels is right and my sil thought I was making excuses for her but I'm not,
I really think the woman can't help the way she is.
