Oh yeah! And picking out rose plants with the Lowe's gift certificate
my MIL sent me for my birthday. I forgot about that one. Roses will be
blooming in my flower garden, YES. :-) :-) :-)

just had an after-school 1 minute biggest-worm-finding
contest with my 8 year old grandson. Mom showed up
with 10 seconds to go so another dig is planned. But
Gramma was ahead!

Ma!! WOuld you do me a favor?? If I sent you some picutes of the
house, would you give me some advice on what roses to get and where to
put them?? DH has decided that we are staying put, so we might as well
make the house look *good* and he knows I like roses. SO...I told him I
would ask my favorite rose expert for advice before I started buying
willy-nilly.

Seeing all of the trees get that first blush of green and the redbuds,
pears, and cherries in bloom! My favorite time of the year!

I just got back from the desert house. I have a rose there that
is my so very favorite. It was there when we bought the house so
I am not sure what it is. Maybe you know Butterfly. It is a pretty
lavender tea rose with the most wonderful fragrance. Not a real
tall and elegant flower but full. I cut a mess to bring home and
with those and the big bunch of lilacs the car smelled like a funeral
parlor (or cat house) by the time I got home. I love yellow roses
and am not a lavender person but this lavender rose is absolute tops
for me.

Off the tip of my head, without going out nod counting them, I have 6 or 7
lavender roses--all having wonderful fragrances and different
characteristics and petal shapes (Most of my roses, but not all, have
fragrance--a couple I got just because of their shape/color and paid no heed
to whether or not there was any aroma)
A couple of them have 'frilly edges' , a couple the edges look like a folded
envelope, and the rest are 'normal' edges.
Lots of variance--so I would need a pix and a bit more about its habits
before I would hazard a guess.
Another thing you might like to do is go to :
www.everyrose.com , go to search, and go to the color category, and peruse
that line.....best I can do for a quickie answer ; )
Butterfly (ohhhhhhh, I love roses)
