Group members who TORMENT the rest of us

Ok, I know there's been a bit of low level crabbing about the group
lately. I hate to add to it all...BUT....we were all tempted with a
meet up in Washington. We heard it was going to happen. We wished we
could be there. We heard it DID happen.

and NOBODY is telling us what happened!!!!

Come on....who showed u?, what did you do? what great quilts did you
see? what great news was shared?

heck, what did you all eat?

you are talking about the WA state meetup with Sarey, right? (I thought
you had started another juicy thread about some evil RCTQers wannting to
take over the group!). Well, I am waiting for the chocolate & fabric
bribes to start arriving to spill the beans! )

no, actually I decided to let Sandi do it since she is so good at it and
I don't think I could do a better job. But since she probably won't post
until she gets back to BC, I can tell you who was there and give you a
short synopsis of the highlights:

Donna and her husband
Sandi and Deni who came all the way from Canada!
Sarah, her second born twin and his wife, who is very pregnant (but not
having twins, just a boy at the end of next month if I remember correctly)
Fernando, Sofia and myself

we had wine, beers, burgers, pie, ice cream, did show and tell and
looked at pics and websites. Sandi's nephew is doing a great job with
hers and will be ready soon for prime time; my favourite quilt,
incredibly because I normally think I like bright colours, was Deni's
white and brown quilt. I took Sofi's Mariposa sunrise and my last WH,
Anamorphosis. Of course we chatted about life and people, the first
great flame war, the magpies, I updated those people about what is going
on in the newsgroup, most of them don't read too frequently. Increibly,
last time Sarah remembered reading me I was still in grad school in PA!!
(I graduated and moved in Dec. 2000/Jan 2001!).

We also signed the banner -again! It has changed so much since I signed
it back in PA - I think it was in the Three Rivers Show with Mickie
Swall, Singer, etc., in 99 maybe? It has a lot of additions, labels in
the back, pins, tassels - but I did find my old signature! And millions
of Ragmop's! ).

We had to leave early because Sofi was getting cranky (she did take a
loooong nap in DH's arms with all the mess going on around them, they
were very surprised - but she is my daughter after all, and my family is
very loud, so she is used to it!) - so I don't know what happened after
that.... some of them had glasses of wine so I gather it might have
gotten interesting...
