Help identifying glass bottles.
Folks, Can anyone offer some expert help identifying some glass bottles? I've posted a photo of them on my website: www.nyx.net/~wboas/bottles.html I've had them about 15 years and have had various opinions. by non-experts offered. They're either very old or a newer experiment in elementary glass blowing. I'm not an expert but they seem hand blown. One is 8.5 inches tall, the other 8.375 inches tall. They are about 2.75 inches across the widest part, but both are not equal in width, nor are they quite the same width across the diameter as one calipers in different places. Both have a longitudinal mold line. There are no marks, numbers, or any hallmarks of any kind. The glass has many air bubbles in it. They hold about 10 ounces of liquid allowing for about one inch of air below the top. Thoughts anyone?? Bill |
