See? Proof of just one person. But there are *many* more.
-- Kandice Seeber www.lampwork.net You heard from me, via the Ebay 'ask the seller a question' form, and you responded that you would be happy to send me the beads I bought last fall. It has been 14 days since that email and I still havent recieved the beads nor any word from you that you intend to send them to me. My email address is unmunged. I would like to hear from you. Diana starlia wrote: I haven't left so many people in the lurch of I would hear from them. I never said I didn't do anything wrong and I have tried to correct the errors. I said that before but none of you will listen. Yes I'm selling again and I don't have one mark against me since then so what does that tell you? I also have a great customer base so I'm not going anywhere. As for Al, I met him on Saturday evening when I went out to dinner with a group of folks. |

Right - and with no expectation of anything in return. Kalera gave of her
kind heart, and her money to help out someone who she thought was in need of help. Starlia has absolutely no remorse for what she's doing, based on her responses here and everywhere else, and based on the way she's handled her business situation. She just doesn't get it, and that really makes me mad. -- Kandice Seeber www.lampwork.net ~ Holy crap! The idea that Starlia left so many people in the lurch, and you were kind and generous enough to cover for her really ticks me off in light of the fact that she's now back selling beads again as if nothing ever happened. It's unfathomable why she thinks she hasn't done anything wrong. ~~~~~~~ Basically, you bailed out Starlia's business with your own hard-earned time and art, which equals money. |

No... it just hurts when people are disappointed. It had nothing to do
with Starlia beyond the hope that it would make it easier for her to get the negs cleared up when she came back. Dr. Sooz wrote: ~ Holy crap! YES Fiddy, very well said! It's important that people think well of
lampworkers and of doing business online, or we all suffer. Oh really? When Sooz said that Marissa killed her bird not too long ago because she starved it to death was okay? Whatever. No, it was not okay. Sooz was called on that by several (many?) people including myself. She took the responses to that comment like an adult and has admitted it was wrong to have made them. There is also a difference between making an admittedly cruel statement that you believe is fact and deliberately taunting someone in their grief. Those are two totally different things, both cruel and unnecessary to have said publicly, but different actions. Can you please be the adult you are and take a step back; see that this did not start as attacks on you personally but rather as commentary and suggestions on your work and your business practices... and that your responses and subsequent actions turned this nasty and personal? You could gain help and support here even now if you were honest with YOURSELF first and saw that there is such a thing as constructive criticism. Hell, what do I know? It probably has gone too far now even for that. I wish you well. -- Polly -- don't spook my groove... -- |

The lampwork community is, indeed, must broader than this place.
However, the lampworking community is not as large as many people believe it is, and it's far more tightly-knit. It is not only on RCB that people see and question your behavior. I have never brought you up to non-RCB people... but nonetheless I've heard others talk about you. At ISGB meetings. Your customers talk. Your actions speak for themselves and create a reputation for you, completely independent of me or anyone on RCB. starlia wrote: Su sorry you feel that way. They are your feelings. As far as the entire lampwork community goes, it's much, much broader than this place. -- -Kalera http://www.beadwife.com |

This is really a reply to everyone. I am 60 years old and have always
been a professional. I am so upset at the attacks by so many in the lampworking community. I do business with some of you and I am questioning if I should continue. People have problems and sometimes it may take time to straighten them all out but none of you know Starlia personally, I DO. If it weren't for her I would be sitting in my house all the time because I am handicapped and can't drive. She is kind and always considerate. She makes sure I get where I need to go and worries about me when I am sick and in the hospital like last week. If she had financial problems and couldn't handle something there was a reason. Unless this personallty affected you don't drag her name through the mud. I never look at other peoples beads because I'm to busy with my own, but I am afraid to put beads up for sale that I might step on someone's feelings. There is not a color combination or style that has not been made by someone at some time. My sister was a lampworker before most of you ever thought of being one. She lampworked over 25 years ago. She has taught me to make a rose that I am afraid to put up for sale because someone might say OH, SHE COPPIED ME. This industry should try to spend their time trying to make it easier and better with education, not tearing someone down. Starlia has feelings and this has been horrible for her. I will always stand by her as I actually KNOW HER PERSONALLY. Margie Wells (Victoriantreasures2) |

I definitely did not want a thank-you; I never intended for Starlia to
know, at all, ever. I asked her customers not to tell her when she contacted them to set things right, as I *assumed* would inevitably happen.
