Another HHG fan Kate? That is one cool book set of books. I need
to read it again. I think it is nearly time to make a HHG quilt!

It's also the answer given by the computer in The Hitch Hiker's Guide to
the Galaxy, when asked for the answer to the ultimate question of life,
the universe, and everything. It took 2 million years to compute, so
don't knock it!

Only of the original radio show. The books were not so succinct and
suffered for it, especially after the first one, and the TV show was on
a par with Blake's Seven!

On a daily basis, there's always stacks of stuff. I try to keep the "mess"
down because my sewing room is also my bedroom, and is visible from other
parts of the house. I'm not very good at putting stuff back.

However, before I start a new project (and sometimes when I finish one), I
do clear the decks. I like to have things put back where they belong before
starting the creative process of pulling fabrics. Right now, I have so much
stash sitting out that needs to be put away that is will be a major
undertaking before I can start Miss Fussy Rose's quilt!

Please tell me that all of you are *kidding* when you talk about how

rumpled
your sewing rooms are.......I can't begin to be creative with a new

project
if there's lots of *stuff* lying about. I vacuum probably twice a week

in
there and clear the dust on the tables. And I even wipe down my
Featherweight every so often - black really attracts the dust.
Don't disown me, gals! :-)

Thank you for saying that, Bev! I also try very hard to keep things
neat and to keep up with my housekeeping- including the sewing room.
With my disability, if I let anything get out of hand I don't have the
energy and strength to play catch-up with the cleaning. I end up
hurting myself physically. Clean-up as you go is so much easier. I
have seen some on this ng talk about filthy floors and their feet
sticking to the floor..... I only hope they are joking or
exaggerating..... ugh.

Howdy!
Some of you are Organized w/ that capital "O",
some of us are not. ;-D
Some of us can create in the midst of confusion,
some of us must be Organized to do so in an
Organized environment. So be it.
Some quilters have Sewing Rooms. Some of us don't,
and this someone doesn't want one, either. G I like to
quilt around the house, be creative thru'-out the house, and
clean when I get to it.
Y'all make it sound like we live in filth if we create in havoc.
Not so; we do as we do, all kinds of us, all types, all personalities,
all kinds of homes.
I'm never embarrassed to invite someone in; my house is as clean
as I need it to be; and I have many, many quilts to show you;
c'mon over. No one has ever caught a major disease in my house,
so far as I know ;-P
but they've seen lots of Finished Quilts.

Okay, dearest Ragmap, oh Queen of Finished..... I was NOT talking about
casual housekeepers. I used to be one when I *could* let things slide a
bit.... I'm talking about the ones who admitted on the internet, for the
whole world to see, that their feet *stuck* to the kitchen floor.
That's a bit different than casual....

Leslie ain't backin' down this time... asbestos undies at the ready...
eatin' (and sharin' with The Furbabies) leftover prime rib from my trip
to the restaurant for carry-out Friday night... yum!!!

That reminds me of the old saying- "If you're coming to see my house, call
ahead. If you're coming to see me, come on over!"
