Yes, and I remember the song. I get a breaking news email on my desktop
from the ABC news site. I hate opening them anymore!

Could your spell checker have changed "Simply Irresistible" on you?

Or is "Simply Irritable" the version for after you've been married for 20
years? "She used to look good to me, but now I find her simply irritable..."
ROFLMAO

Or maybe its just having heard that song one to many times, and seen the
video with those plastic, bored looking mannikin women a few to many

times?

I have to confess that I *love* that video -- it's a riot! But then, I like
the Annoying Music Show, too.

What is the Annoying (or is that supposed to be irratating) Music Show?

Aaaahhh, one of Public Radio's finer moments.
http://www.wbez.org/programs/ams/ams.asp
Each week, Jim Nayder presents 4 minutes of music that never should have
been recorded. The "music" usually done by "artists" (and yes, the terms
MUST be used in quotes) who really think they have some musical talent, but
it's so painfully obvious that they don't. Think William Shatner doing
"Rocketman", Roseanne doing the national anthem, or Tammy Faye Baker doing
"Disco Jesus", and you have the idea.

My favorite bits, actually, are when Jim Nayder is on Weekend Edition
Saturday (http://www.npr.org/display_pages/fea...e_1192723.html or
http://www.npr.org/display_pages/fea...e_1342041.html), because you
get such a potpourri of Annoying Music without being forced to listen to an
entire song. (Well, that, and if you're a Scott Simon fan, it's fun to pick
out the songs he will genuinely like! LOL)

What's the attraction? I think it's two-fold. One of course is that it's
like a traffic accident -- it may be sickening, but you just HAVE to slow
down and look. The other is that even with my tin ear, I know I could sing
just as well.
