Help a girl out: 11 pendants on eBay going cheap!!
This group is supposed to be for discussion. It would be easily
swamped if many tried to use it to sell thinkgs like this. I just went on Ebay and searched "glass pendant." 6,353 items were listed. And there are many other listings under glass. Most of us who are interested in discussions work in glass and are unlikely to want to buy items like this. Few would want to scroll through dozens or more of for sale messages each day. And we can go on Ebay if we want to shop. Good or bad, Ebay is where this belongs. John Bassett Kalera wrote: Some customers do browse related newsgroups in the hopes of finding artisans to buy from, so advertising in NGs related to your work is not a useless idea in general. It depends on your group's particular etiquette, of course. On RCB, we ask for "AD" in the header, and to minimize repetition. nJb wrote: Dr. Sooz wrote: Ditto. What Becki said. And don't pay attention to Scratch, whoever it is.....never heard of 'em before. "Everyone here" can make those? I DON'T THINK SO. Scratch was probably reading on rec.crafts.glass where many, but certainly not all, can and do make them. -- -Kalera http://www.beadwife.com http://www.bridgetownglass.com On eBay: http://www.snurl.com/1sfe |

Then set your replies to ONLY be in r.c.g and you won't get any more discussion about the topic. As long as you insist on responding to two groups you will get the replies from two groups. -Su |

Seems like it was one of you nitwit no-talent beadmakers that started the crossposting in the first place. |

Steve Ackman wrote: Maybe I should set the bot to post the charter for r.c.g. to r.c.b. so they know what not to post here. Hint to the OP: If you're going to cross-post to a group you don't normally frequent, you should at least read the charter of that group so you know what's allowed "over there." The OP doesn't frequent RCB either, or they would have known to put "AD" in their heading, and they wouldn't have crossposted to RCG because we have rules against crossposting ads. Properly marked, relevant ads are welcome in RCB. Not everywhere. -- -Kalera http://www.beadwife.com http://www.bridgetownglass.com On eBay: http://www.snurl.com/1sfe |

Seems like it was one of you nitwit no-talent beadmakers that started the crossposting in the first place. It was a fuser, and not a regular from our group. Which you should have been able to figure out if you had better than 4th-grade reading comprehension. If you're so talented, how many galleries carry your work? How many books and magazines have you been published in? How many newspaper articles and TV spots have you been featured in? Sounds like someone has a nasty case of sour grapes, and a serious need to get out of the basement and get laid more often. -- -Kalera http://www.beadwife.com http://www.bridgetownglass.com On eBay: http://www.snurl.com/1sfe |

And, I've seen your picture. Had any dental work done recently? Books, magazines, galleries, TV shows and newspaper articles don't pay the bills, sweetie. You and yer pals can run around in your little mutual admiration bead society gushing over some little gee-gaw of melted glass and have your fancy websites and peddling your "art" on eBay all you want. I'll take the cash flow. You spend hours making your silly little beads and put them on eBay and think you've done something if one sells. Your April eBay sales were (according to the feedback left) just barely over $400! Bwahahaah! BFD!!! Hell, minimum wage jobs pay twice that. But, hey, yer an artist, ain'tcha? |
