Default OT -- Feeling a bit rushed.... ;)

I may not be around much for the next couple of weeks. I'll still be
home most of the time, so forget the stash raid; it's just that I'm
going to have a house guest beginning on Tuesday, and I'm trying to get
the house undecorated and ready for that right now. And this house guest
is *really, really* special!

Many of you will remember Ally from the UK. She's been to LV before and
likes it here, so she's coming on a little jaunt and will stay with us
for a couple of weeks. I'm *so* excited! She's the one who's responsible
for getting me to Houston for the first time -- something that is now a
"habit". She hasn't been doing much quilting recently, as she's
expanded into beading and then scrapbooking, but I suspect we'll get her
back one of these days. Anyway, we've been friends for several years
now, and I can't wait to see her again in person!

We're going to take a couple of little road trips while she's here, but
DH and Dexter will remain behind to guard the meager stash against
stashmobile raids (got that, Wendy? VBG).

Oh, and did I mention that Ally has made me a little scrapbook of my
little Tuppence? They'd met a couple of times before on Ally's previous
trips, and Ally asked if I'd like a little memento -- of course I said
yes. But I have a couple of little surprises for Ally, too.

Have a great time with Ally! This sounds like a good opportunity to gently
pull her back into the quilting world!

Oh have a great time, Sandy.
What fun that sounds. Do remember me to her. It seems ages since
'that' Malvern, when I finally got to meet everyone for the first time.

How fun! I had my own lovely houseguest from England a couple of years
ago, her visit is some of my most cherishished memories. (Waving at
Pat on her hill!!!) We had a WONDERFUL time together! Be sure to
take some pics of all your fun and adventures to share with us- and
tell Ally "hi" and give her a hug for me.

Sandy, you're really going to have a fantastic house guest! Give Ally
a hug for me, too! I met her the year Helen Smith (of narrowboat fame)
was in Houston.
