Okay whose the designated stash raider here? I have to turn over the keys
to the sewing machine first. Maybe we should limit us to the handcrank. Not sure after a few margarootles I could handle the treadle. I might unsew all my fabric and the you'd be taking home strings. You'd have to listen to me try several times to say perforated. with a lisp... Bring a quilt too. If you are going to tuck me in, I ought to be tucked in under a quilt, no? none on my bed right now. sniffle Elena, being brave in Tx Note to self: get a bigger design wall up. "frood" wrote in message . com... OK, here's what we'll do. I'll mix the Margarootles, and you pull out all the fabric. I'll dive in and start flinging stuff around, you have a drink. Then, you play with what I pulled out, see if anything sparks, and I'll have a drink. Then, we'll work together on the design wall, playing with the ideas, and we'll both have a drink. Then, we'll find somebody sober to take a picture of it, and to write down our incoherent babblings about what we're doing. Next, we'll tuck you in bed, pack up all your stash in my bag, and they can drive me home. -- Wendy http://griffinsflight.com/Quilting/quilt1.htm de-fang email address to reply "Elena" wrote in message ... Hmm scare me? Nothing quilty. Intimidate me for awhile.. surely. Probably an art quilt where I was told to just.. do what I feel. I'd probably go for a margarita. Blank slates challenge me. Toooo many possibilitiesss... brain overload... smoke.. error error non-sequiter.. your facts are uncorrelated... Elena, winding down. "Diana Curtis" wrote in message ... Is there a quilt you would love to make but it puts your stomach in knots to think about making it? What would this terrifying quilt be and what about it makes you tremble? Mine is the Dahlia. Its the picking of the fabrics that has me worried. In the book I have there are a couple of examples of color ways given. I hate all of them. But they do point out the importance of picking good contrast and coordinating patterns. This would be the best time to use a scanner to take the diagram of the quilt to be able to preview fabrics in it. Its on my to do list, right under long nap. Ok..spill... lets see if there are lots of people intimidated by the same quilts. Diana -- http://photos.yahoo.com/lunamom44 |

Did you do all of the embroidery in neutral colors, too? I bet that it's
gorgeous - please do post a picture when you can. -JoyceG in WA LN said: I did a crazy quilts in all neutral colors. I tried to find a picture of it to post on my website, but can't find one. I guess I'll have to take another. It was a lot of fun to do. -- |

Pat, I am so glad I asked to see a picture of your eagle quilt. It's a
lovely quilt. And you have many others that are wonderful. I'm in love with the quilt depicting the quilt cabinet and kitties. If it ever needs a home, I'll quickly send you my address. BG I did wander quite a bit at your website. You're kitties are so very precious. I wanted to hug them all. I'm definitely a kitty lover. I am currently owned by 2 of them. Thanks so much for sharing your website. I enjoyed it much. -- Sherri G in Kentucky http://community.webshots.com/user/sdgodfrey | Hullo Sherri | Thanks for asking. | There is a picture of my eagle on our website. | If you scroll down the Home Page to What's New With us 2003, towards the | end of the paragraph is a highlighted 'Yet More Quilts'. Click on that | and I think it is the third one down on that page. The main brown | fabric for the eagle is printed with a feather-like pattern, and I've | quilted it also with feathers. Yes, I did. I'll try to get a picture later. It is one that has stayed in
the house. neutrals are hard to photograph. Especially with fancy fabrics as they tend to reflect. -- LN in NH a crazy quilter * hand quilter * & hand appliquér all in all --- a very slow quilter.... Thanks so much for this response. It means so much to me. I'm not the
most confident person in the world!!! I fear the quilt cabinet miniature will not leave the house - it is the one with which I won the piecing prize at Quilts UK last year!!! So, it is very special. I love it anyway g (It is only about 14" x 17")!! ... In article , sdgodfrey writes Pat, I am so glad I asked to see a picture of your eagle quilt. It's a lovely quilt. Thanks very much Karen. I'm glad you liked it. It was very nice to do
- hardly any hassles at all - except getting the point on the beak and keeping it there while I anchored it down!! (The quilt is 1 metre square). .. In article . net, Queen of Squishies writes Awesome eagle quilt! Thanks for sharing it!! Karen, Queen of Squishies -- Best Regards pat on the hill |

That depends on your definition of a fight. ;-)
I'm handpiecing them after I've paper pieced the arcs - it gives me something to do in waiting rooms, so that leaves me the leeway to squish and stretch as needed. Marijke "Queen of Squishies" wrote in message ink.net... Very intersting. And did you find that the arcs fit the curves without a fight? Karen, Queen of Squishies -- My reply address is scrambled.
