Thanks for all the congrats on my first quilt. I have it, and my second one
which is pieced and the picture of my third one all packed for the retreat
tomorrow. I will let Sue take a picture of them and we will let someone
post them. If that fails, I will take it to the Indiana/Illinois Meet and
let everyone ohhh and ahhh there and take pictures, lol. See you tomorrow
Sue.

My first quilt. Yippee. Happy dancing. Now I can take it to the cross
stitch retreat this weekend and show it to Sue. Yippee. Have been doing
much more cross stitch than quilting this week, but I promised Sue that I
would finish it and bring it. And after today, I can honestly say that

the
binding is not my favorite part of quilting. :-) But it is done!!!!

Love in Stitches,

Coleen

Elena --

Is use of picturetrail free? Are there others where you can post pictures
on a web page for free? I do have a digital camera but I just need to learn
more about using it and uploading the pictures -- the kids always did that
for me when they were still at home, lol.

Send it to me! I'll post it on my picture page. I have done so for other
people. Just let me know if you can't de-spam my address.

Patti --

Well, if I had been able to pick, I would have chosen something other than a
King Size very hard pattern (Hidden Wells) for my first quilting project,
but this was a class that I took with my oldest daughter. Even she (the
experienced quilter) agreed that this was a rather complicated pattern for a
beginner. But it is done now, and hopefully you all will be able to see it
sometime next week.

Well done, indeed, Coleen!
First quilts are so special. Mine was just a tiny little placemat - but
I still have it; and look at its cut off points quite fondly!!!
Each quilt has its own charm, but the first time you see what actually
happens, when all the stages come together, is magical.

Sue --

They are all packed and ready to go. Now I must run and fold all the
laundry I did today, pack my cross stitch bag, my crocheting bag (I can
crochet in a moving vehicle but not cross stitch) and my bag with my clothes
in it (it will be the last thing I pack -- I do have my priorities straight,
lol) and then get to bed. See you tomorrow evening.

See you tomorrow evening.

Well, I am safely back from retreat now (what a blast we had) and I sent the
picture of that beautiful quilt to Elena to post- hopefully it worked and she
will be able to get it uploaded.
