Default Won some prizes ... quilting stuff!

Last week, at guild meeting, I won a
book in the drawing for the mystery
project participants. It is called 256
Fat Quarter Quilt Blocks, edited by
Sandra Hatch and Jeanne Stauffer. It is
a so-so book ... not my favorite, but it
does contain some unique blocks and
settings.
Last night, at my small quilt group, we
had the annual drawing for ALL the 2006
monthly blocks. I won the set of July
blocks, 12" scrappy stars, each done in
the piecer's choice of star patterns. It
is a small group, just 10 blocks, but I
like it. I plan to use just 9 on a
simple lap quilt. Eventually I will
probably pass it along to a charity or
to a friend.
