Ad-Duck Egg Shells
We have white duck eggs available for sale. The nice strong shells are
great for Easter eggs, Christmas tree ornaments, and other crafts such as Pysanka. You may order them blown or unblown*. We clean the eggs with a water/vinegar solution (16/1 ratio), but if you prefer, you may order eggs that have just been gently cleaned with plain water to remove surface soil. Blown eggs are drilled in one end (your choice of which end) with a Blas-fix drill (approx.1/16") and emptied with a Blas-fix blower. We rinse the insides of the eggs thoroughly with cold water using the Blas-fix blower. We use no bleach or chemicals other than vinegar. Prior to blowing, the eggs are weighed on a Jiffy Egg Scale and sorted according to USDA egg size criteria; extra large and jumbo. Our egg measurements are as follows. The first number is the average measurement in inches with a tape end over end and the second is the measurement around the middle. Jumbo: 7-5 7/8 Extra Large: 6 5/8-5 5/8 The shells are 50¢ each. We add $1.00 to the total to help cover our packaging costs. We ship via United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail but will be happy to send the eggs another way if you wish. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via e-mail at If you would like to place an order, please e-mail me at I will send you an order form via a download or copied and pasted into an e-mail which ever way you prefer. After I receive your order I will send you the total amount due. We accept personal checks, money orders and certified bank checks. Jonathan Clement Berry Patch Farm 483 Millers Corners Rd. East Greenbush, NY 12061 *unblown eggs not available from November through March due to the risk of freezing and breaking during shipping. |
