It's been awhile

I was wondering where you were; glad to know there was nothing 'new'
wrong. Coincidentally, we saw a few snippets of the current state of
New Orleans in our news bulletin at lunchtime. It doesn't take much of
an imagination stretch to think what the rest of Louisiana, and the
other badly affected areas are still undergoing.
I do hope that the house sale goes through without any hitch, and that
you'll be able to move and find somewhere nice to start the next phase
of your lives.

Ya'll have been doing some gorgeous work! I need a cyber quilt
fix as I've been unable to make delicious quilty messes for
a bit because I've had to keep the house in pristine show-to-sell
order. Less than a month ago we put the house FSBO in the newspaper
in NOLA and 3 hours later we had a buyer war with three couples.
8 hours later the buyers left and were were sitting there stunned
with that deer in the headlights look asking each other: "Did we
just sell the house"?
If it goes through we'll be signing in a week. We're going back
to Idaho. While I'll miss a lot of things about lovely Louisiana, post
Katrina living isn't one of them. Plus-on the other end? Grandkids!
