Heh, if I knew how to do seed bead work, I would be all over this... I
have wanted a beaded wand for I don't know how many years!

We talked about this a while back and it seemed like a popular idea.

And I
saw it was mentioned the other day as well - so I say let's do it!!

Let me know if you are interested in participating. Once I get an idea

of
how many are interested etc I'll set up the details.

Now put your beaded thinking caps on!!!

Yes! Batteries not included.

I have many many ideas about what a wand could be. :-)

My first thought was a fairy princess type wand (star on a stick).

Your's is beautiful Arondelle, a REAL wand.

I am afraid to participate in a swap, what if my swapee get's something he/she
thinks is lame...

Some folks here talk
about things of which I have no clue. Being a non-lampworker, I'm not
hip to all the jargon, and no one ever answers my jargon-related
questions. (I guess I'm just supposed to *know.*)

Just wanted to know what you guys mean when you say "wand." I know what
I mean: a short, decorated, stick-like object used in Pagan rituals in
place of an athame (ritual knife). It might means something else
entirely to a non-Pagan. Maybe something esoteric/funky having to with
melted glass.

::shrugs:: I dunno me. If you don't want me to play, I'll go away.

I could do with one of those before I go to the hospital in the morning.

Magical wands to wave and make things work or go away or whatever you need.
With beads.

Um, no. Not all of us are lampworkers. I may be moving sky and earth to
get a lampworker in the family but I'm just a beader.

It means something entirely different to me, as I'm non-denominational. It
means a chance to put beads on something sticklike and send it to someone
else for the fun of it.

I would answer your terminology questions, but I guess I never see them.
They may be buried in threads that I don't get to... that might explain
why you don't get answers; perhaps the right people aren't seeing the
questions. I don't think anyone thinks you're just supposed to "know".

And I think Sooz misunderstood the reason you posted that link; I got
the impression from her post that she thought you were suggesting that's
what the wands should be, rather than asking for clarification that yes,
this is what we mean by "wand".
