Default Next Years Christmas Presents!

I'm planning to make some Christmas presents for next Christmas. Nothing
like starting early eh? *grin*

I've already got two items planned. An afghan for my mum, and a 1927 scarf
for my MIL to go with the 1927 car she already has!

Anyone else making plans?

Sarah

I'm planning on knitting bookmarks for all my coworkers for the next
Christmas coming up. And, though not really a Christmas present, I'm
planning on knitting a scarf a month and then when we do the mitten
tree at work again next year, I'm going to donate them. I might do
more, if I have time with all the knitting I want to accomplish for
myself and my boo, and the cat.

Too cool about the scarf to go with the car! At this point, nobody is
getting anything made from me next year. Suffice to say I am feeling that
my skill and creativity is largely unappreciated.

Wow - you really are ahead of the game. I am just breathing a sigh of relief
for having finished this year's presents. I did cast on my NYCO V-neck sweater
today and I have finished your squares.
I have a WIP sweater for DH which might take until Christmas - but hopefully
not. Some projects which I have in mind are a pullover for my daughter and a
Winnie the Pooh sweater for my youngest grand daughter. (I don't know whether
those will be presents or not but probably birthdays rather than Christmas. I
also plan to make some socks for me and some more hats for Afghans for Afghans.

This Christmas I made a scarf and two ponchos as presents.

Hi Sarah,

Boy, you are right with it, planning ahead. I'll just see how many afghans I
can get done this year. I'm going to try and do more than last year.

Hugs,

Nora

Yubetcha! My best friend is getting a shawl, my sister and daughter some
socks, so those are enough projects to get me started.

I am going to knit some scrubbies. These are little circles knitted in
cotton, and you put them in a basket along with some nice soaps or facial
scrub stuff. I got ont this year from a friend, and it is a gentle
exfoliant. WOnderful!

I like your planning and have to admit that I am already working on an
afghan for my nephew. It was going to be for this Christmas just
passed but with everything else going on it didn't get done. It
barely got started.

I'm also going to use the afghan as an entry in a fall fair craft
competition.

Sarah, what an Idea! I found a beautiful 1927 scarf on the net, is it
THAT scarf?
You are all so clever, ladies!

I must confess that I have copied all your good ideas and saved it for
NESSESARY inspiration! But my best inspiration for the next years
presens was my DIL, telling my SIL:
"Aud has done beautiful handmade presents
for each and everyone of us, imagine how lucky we are!"

And imagine how lucky I am,
who have such a greatful family :-)

It's a lovely idea, and I'll not say I've had no thoughts... but a bunch
of people I'm close to are having babies this year, so I'm knitting baby
things
