I just did these a short while ago and wanted everyone to see them.
I tumbled these myself and have a ton more but without holes. lol
Just figured while my neck was on the chopping block I would
see and get opinions. Daring aren't I?

Gorgeous! And they have holes - they're beads. I think the shells
would make really nice chandelier (sp?) earrings, which are really big right
now.

I am wondering what the limits will be with my shells as far as how thin and how many holes
before they would break. Never gave that much thought, but I know they would weaken
just an an egg shell would if to much support was removed. I will have to experiment.

those are cool!

the beach glass are neat too ---
drilling holes in glass is no easy feat either - how in the world did you
manage those tiny holes?

Thank you so much. The little hole swere made with a diamond bit I found in
my Dremel box that I bought when I got the Dremel. It's little with a round head.
I hope I don't burn it up before I can find more. I have a link to a site to buy
some, but not really sure what size. lol I am going to try and measure this one
so I can get the same thing back. I agree... drilling glass is not easy, but I
will admit... it was a very rewarding challenge I gave myself to proform.

A suggestion -- How about drilling the holes **before** you tumble the glass?

That way the holes will look organically part of the sea-process -- really
nice, if you ask me. (Even though no one *did* ask me)

I want to thank you SO MUCH!!! I never thought of drilling the holes first.
I will give that a try on the next batch I do and see what happens. I figure
the worst thing would be the holes filling with grit. I think that could be
cleaned out easily though.

OOOH...great idea. I'd buy up tons of it to put in my sea themed bathroom.....oh
man, why do you guys do this to me.

I would be ahppy to tumble you a new bathroom. How about some nice stained
glass tumbled and you could do a mosaic on one of the walls and drape a fishnet from
one corner to the next and we will work on filling it with Paua? )

I am not sure what aqua looks like. I am color blind so I might have a problem. lol
Is there a bottle that you can think of new or old, that may be close so I can get
an idea? Thanks.

your glass that yoiu put on the page. I am guessing beach glass? You had
the paua first, then 2 pics of glass that was drilled. Either that or it
was *extremely* clear Paua?

Mary

It is beach glass that I tumbled. If my Paua gets that clear I am out of buisness. lol

Thank you... can I send you a few pieces? I don't mind shipping to NZ, as
I do it all the time and plus get stuff from there.
