Default My first guild workshop

I have only been a member of the guild since June and only knew the people
who work at the LQS and only one of my friends that I took my first class
with. I am a little shy until I know you -- then, watch out!!!!

Anyway, yesterday, our guild had Michael Young from Baton Rouge in a
workshop called Whacky Stacky with a Twist.

It was so much fun!!!!! There were only 15 in the workshop but I feel like I
have 15 new friends.

I had never made a Stack and Whack, but I LOVE the way my fabric choice is
turning out. I have four more blocks to make, then I will post pictures.

Just had to share. (oh, my Two-step memories quilt is finished, too!!!!
Pictures soon, I promise!)

Can't wait to see it! Aren't classes/workshops fun? It is a great place to
make new friends.

Can't wait to see the pictures, Tricia. Taking workshops is a great way to
get to know your fellow guild members better and volunteering is another
good way. Some of the first people that I got to know were from when we
worked together at a quilt show. Good fun and doing my share at the same
time. Now let's hear more about the Twist! How is it different from the
regular Stack & Whack?

I, too, was intrigued by "Whacky Stacky with a Twist", so I did a
search. This is what I found
http://www.gulfstatesquilting.bizlan...hael_young.htm

I may have to try this!

Yes, that's it. Michael Young taught the workshop.

It has a secondary focus fabric. It is hard to believe he made that quilt
with the same two fabrics but I saw leftover pieces of the fabric and he
DID.
