Bible block

Y'all have always been so helpful when someone is looking for something ----
so, I am in need of pattern for a quilt my church is making to give to a
long time member who is leaving.

She and I have been in Bible study class together forever, so I have been
assigned the "Bible" block. Only problem is -- I can't find one!!

I have done several searches under Bible quilt blocks, religious blocks,
etc. Part of the problem is so many quilt books are titled "the Bible for
quilters" etc.

I will be happy to pay for a pattern, even if you have a book block, I'd
appreciate it. I even looked at the Library quilts, but all those books are
standing up or lying down with bindings showing and that's not really what I
am looking for.

I am desperate enough to try to make a paper pieced pattern from clip art.
Anybody ever done that?

If they don't have one, it would be worth emailing them to ask.

Otherwise, why not just look for a block featuring a book - you can
always add "Holy Bible" to the spine, or write a bible verse on open pages.

Go to Paper Panache web-site. These are all FPP blocks. You will find The
Nativity, Good Friday (Jesus on the Cross), Hanukah and various Angels. Under
Simple Requests: you will find a Bible with a Cross on it, also some simple
Cross designs. Hope this helps.

Thank you. I knew one or more of you would come through for me. You all are
so helpful.

I guess I didn't make myself clear. I didn't want a block inspired by the
Bible. I wanted a block that was a 'picture' of the Bible. I looked for just
a book block to add the words to, but this is great.
