Unveiling my quilting studio!

It's been a while coming- I started in a corner of the laundry room when I
first learned to quilt about 22 years ago. Then worked my way up to a small
bedroom and now this. It didn't happen overnight... VBG And it helps
that I live alone with The HairyButt Gang. I can do whatever I want with
any room in the house.

Some of you may know that about 4 months ago I purchased a delightful,
rambling, 90 y.o. house. She's a real character (just like me!)- added
on to and remodeled many times over the years. This house has 8
different levels! Some are only a step up or down, some are a few steps-
and there's an upstairs, too. I am finally getting all settled in- The
HairyButt Gang made it theirs from Day One.

I just now (today!) finished unpacking and organizing my studio. It's a
former breezeway between the family room and the master bedroom- it was
already enclosed and finished when I moved here. It still needs a little
tweaking, but it's ready to sew! (Sorry but I'm still using WebShots- if
you are very careful to not allow your cursor any where but the gray
margins on each page- stay away from the ads!- you shouldn't get any
annoying sounds. Or just turn off your speakers.)

I need to come up with more storage and a design wall- absolutely. But for
right now I'm just glad to have one room pretty much done. Whew!

As for a design wall, I could imagine some sort of flannel-covered
wall on wheels that could maybe live in front of the bookcase. Or
something like a movie screen that would pull down when needed.
