Default Unveiling my quilting studio!

It's been a while coming- I started in a corner of the laundry room when I
first learned to quilt about 22 years ago. Then worked my way up to a small
bedroom and now this. It didn't happen overnight... VBG And it helps
that I live alone with The HairyButt Gang. I can do whatever I want with
any room in the house.

As all the others have said, your work room is a piece of art! Love
it, love it, love it and I am green with envy considering I'm working
in a little 4x8 space. Yours is a quilters dream. Congratulations on
putting together such a fabulous studio...surely some beautiful work
will result because of it! Donna

The rest of the house is still in transition... it's not ready to be
'viewed'! Give me another six months or so. Or maybe five... or ten years?
LOL

What a wonderful room. I so envy you.
Because your studio is fantastic, I imagine the rest of the house is too.
Could you please put some pics up, I love all the woodwork too.

Some of you may know that about 4 months ago I purchased a delightful,
rambling, 90 y.o. house. She's a real character (just like me!)- added
on to and remodeled many times over the years. This house has 8
different levels! Some are only a step up or down, some are a few steps-
and there's an upstairs, too. I am finally getting all settled in- The
HairyButt Gang made it theirs from Day One.

I just now (today!) finished unpacking and organizing my studio. It's a
former breezeway between the family room and the master bedroom- it was
already enclosed and finished when I moved here. It still needs a little
tweaking, but it's ready to sew! (Sorry but I'm still using WebShots- if
you are very careful to not allow your cursor any where but the gray
margins on each page- stay away from the ads!- you shouldn't get any
annoying sounds. Or just turn off your speakers.)

Welcome to my studio!

I need to come up with more storage and a design wall- absolutely. But for
right now I'm just glad to have one room pretty much done. Whew!

How inviting and lovely with all that wood -and so clean! IMO you're
going to need more storage very soon though.
As for a design wall, I could imagine some sort of flannel-covered
wall on wheels that could maybe live in front of the bookcase. Or
something like a movie screen that would pull down when needed.

What a great space you've made! I hope you enjoy it for a very long
time, in health and happiness.

Well done, Leslie! Your studio is functional, attractive, and has big
windows on two sides!! Wow! I hope you enjoy it for many years.

Gen: I think the abundance of windows makes the wood okay in that room. Pat

I love it. How envious I am that you have all those wonderful windows. I
normally just hate paneling, but it really works in there, makes your
cabinets look as if they'd always been there. I want one like it.
