i see no problems with him burning the wood
haven't seen me handling a soldering iron huh

I don't foresee much of a heat and/or scorching problem. I'll try the
suggestions and as per usual, thanks much for the wisdom so freely
shared folks. The wood, I have a lot of pieces that are too purdy for
the fireplace and I'll put the new bandsaw to work one of these days
soon to see what I can come up with.
