Where has it been hanging out? It it's been leaned against a tree in the
backyard, that's one thing; if it has been inside with at least some heat/humidity protection, of course, that's different. One of my Bernina instruction books asks that you allow it to come to room temperature at least an hour to restore the oil in the bearings to a fluid state. Polly
