You've mentioned Ginger's, that's a really great shop! You also might visit
the Honey Bee Quilt Store, 10401 Anderson Mill, 512 257-1269

Hi Guys,
I am going to be visiting my DSis and her family in Austin, TX the end

of
July. She doesn't sew or quilt so she is not up on where the local fabric
shops would be. Can someone point me in towards some good shops, please?
I have been to Austin several times before but this will be the first

time I
have had my own car and can go where *I* want :-)! One trip will be to
Fredericksburg -- always go there as I really like the drive AND I like

the
town. Does anyone know if the small fabric shop is still there? Last

time I
was there (about 4 years ago) it had a load of fabrics suitable for kids.

That
would be OK as I have the SMDGD to sew for now :-). As of now, I don't

plan to
head towards San Antonio, but ya' never know -- LOL!
I will be in Ausstin from 29 July to 02 August and LNS and LQS shopping

are
the main things on the list. My DNiece is graduating from High School and

it
has been a long, hard struggle fir her -- she has been quite ill for

several
years and has had to go to the alternative school. She is interested in

Silk
Ribbon Embroidery and general Surface Embroidery so, as part of her

graduation
gift, I will be taking her to Ginger's and the regular craft stores to

stock up
on needlework supplies. As payback, she'll have to accompany me to the

LQS so
maybe I can get her hooked on quilting too :-)))! Obviously, any and all
recommendations for LQS will be gratefully accepted :-)! CiaoMeow ^;;^
