hi Rodney, Brian,

it seems that the name "man-harness knot" is preferred?
http://www.scoutingresources.org.uk/...tml#manharness

about the "sword knot":
this knot is also known as "Sheep Shank Man o'War"
or a "Man o'war sheepshank" :
http://www.geospectra.net/kite/knots/knots.htm
http://www.boatsafe.com/marlinespike/sheepshank.htm

and I presume that the "sword knot" is not a knot that is common in Schouting

knot linked here,

Ben
