Default The Bordered 9 Patch Quilt

This is the quilt I am currently working on. It is from Missouri Star Quilt Co. I brought the pattern from them. I am using batiks but you can use just regular material of your choice. Using 4 white 2 1/2 inch squares and 5 prints, sew into a 9 patch, then take two 6 1/2 inch x 2 1/2 inch rectangles sewing to each side of the 9 square, then take another two 6 1/2 inch x 2 1/2 rectangles with one white 2 1/2 inch square sewn on each end. Sew these two rectangles on the other two sides and you now have a bordered 9 patch. Make as many block as you want for the width and length. Think mine will be 6 block wide and 7 blocks long with 2 1/2 inch white inner border and a 5 1/2 inch outer border. I will have a block in each row that is the border material.
So each block takes four 6 1/2 inch rectangles, five 2 1/2 prints, eight 2 1/2 inch white squares. Hope I have not confused you. There is a tutorial on Missouri Star Quilt Company you can ask to see on the internet.
enjoy,
