Default my first swirl lentil beads:D

I used that same tutorial to learn how to do the swirlies, and I could not
get it to work for me either, at first.. IMNSHO, that tutorial has a lot
more wordage to it than it needs. Barbara, let me see if I can break it
down to the basic steps:

1: create 3 tiny balls of clay in 3 different colors.
2: press them together to create one large tri-colored ball, rolling it
gently to get the round shape.
3: place the ball on a smooth surface.
4: grasp a flat smooth plate (glass from a picture frame works well) by it's
side edges and position the center of it on the top of your clay ball,
pressing ever so slightly.
5: lock your wrists, so that your hands and forearms move as one, and, while
you apply gentle pressure with the plate to the clay, mimic the "Go Barbara,
its your birthday! Go Barbara, its your birthday!" dance! You want to move
your locked wrists in a small series of circles, holding tight to the glass
plate. You'll see the clay ball form a soft point in it's center, and that
is where the swirl will start to form. Varying the amount of pressure you
apply to the ball will dictate how "thick" the "fingers" of the swirl come
out.

Well, that made perfect sense to me...lol..I hope it helps you!

Seen it - can't get it to work. Probably just need more practice.
