Default Storm

I've been beading up a storm. I have too many beads, but eBay still
tempts me.

About a month ago I heard something on the radio about how dopamine
makes Alzheimer patients more susceptible to gambling addiction.
Since I have Depression which also involves lack of pleasant brain
chemicals, it made me wonder whether that makes me more susceptible to
trying to win eBay auctions. Seriously.

So I've been working more with the beads I have. Which 1) keeps me
busy, 2) focuses me on what I have instead of what else is pretty, 3)
saves me money, 4) helps me cut down on clutter.

I've made at least 50 necklaces. Though I haven't photographed them
yet.

I started with red. By organizing by color, I see combinations I
might want to use on my next projects too. Then I went to peach and
pink, and on to purple. Of course, most of my beads are blue and
green. The reds I need more parts for, go back into the drawer. The
reds I'm not going to use go to my teacher friend in the village, or
my granddaughter, or a drawer of items to sell.

I started with red because I love red, and it always sells.
Unfortunately, it's rather hard to find in artisan beads.

I also started with things I just wanted to whip out. Not spend a lot
of time or precious metal on.

OMG, It's snowing again outside. And it was down to Zero last
night. This is getting/staying old!

My next step is going to be to put up some things on eBay. I'll start
with low end things, and have set up an account under my husband's
name. That way I'll keep the other account for higher prices and
higher expectations. I know there are sellers I'm unlikely to go back
to because I have gotten wonky beads from them, etc.
