Default Time for another Roll Call?

Tia Mary here, RCTQ Queen of Kitties -- mostly by default since no
one has challenged me for the crown -- LOLOL! Besides, I begged for it
:-)))). I live in Magnoliaville (AKA Cumming, GA about 50M north of
Atlanta) and have been here for nine years TODAY!! Married to
"Ol'watzisname" for about 35 years and we still haven't killed each
other =8-0 . One DD who is married and lives in Lizard Land (AKA
Phoenix, AZ) with my one and only SMDGD Raechel who will be 5 in May.
When Dh retires in about 2 years, we will move back to the high country
in AZ and not be so terribly far from our family.
I now have just two QIs. Casey (Baby Cat) a Chocolate Point
Himalayan with sparkly blue eyes and oft' combed long, long fur and Reno
(Black Cat) a DMH with lovely gold eyes and soft, luxurious coal black
fur. Both babies are about 11 years old and were rescues from the
group at the Tempe Pet Smart. We have had both babies since 1997 and
they are fat, lazy and VERY good at helping me when I am at the sewing
machine or doing anything else. Right now, Cassie is asleep on the
right hand side of the computer desk and Reno is sitting on the stool in
front of the window to the left of the computer. Obviously, I am never
left alone, well unless they are asleep somewhere and don't realize I
have left the room -- LOL! Once DH has retired and we move back to AZ,
we will get another doggie QI, probably another Lhasa Apso as I LOVE
that breed and am very partial to animals with long hair :-).
I am a professional seamstress which is how I pay for my quilting
and needlework addictions. My quilts are done totally on the sewing
machine. If I want to do hand work, I will do needlework (surface
embroidery, cross stitch, counted work, pulled and drawn thread work,
needlepoint, etc.). I don't usually do quilt blocks with lots of little
pieces, probably because I have done enough "fiddly" general sewing to
satisfy that need. I really enjoy doing paper pieced blocks and
generally do a PP kitty face when I make HUG blocks.
DH and I travel a lot, especially since we moved to the east coast,
likely because it is a much shorter flight to Europe AND he travels for
his work. Since moving here we have gone to Amsterdam, Vienna, Ireland,
Germany and the Czech Republic. We have taken several Caribbean cruises
and have just recently returned from a cruise to The Bahamas (this was
part of my birthday gift). Before moving here we went to Tahiti, Japan,
Fiji, took a Mexican Riviera cruise and made numerous trips to Hawaii.
We are certified PADI divers and did our certification dives in St.
Thomas, Virgin Islands. We have made dives while in Fiji, the Caribbean
and Hawaii but haven't done any diving for the last 3 or 4 years.
So, that pretty much takes care of my "get acquainted" info. I look
forward to seeing what everyone else has to say about themselves :-).
