i accidently got some 06 clay (powdered slip) into a batch of cone 10
pug mill clay. discovered AFTER i dumped half a bag in...

anyway, it fired up really well. i was lucky the proportions...

by the way - i only use cone 10 clays for raku, pit, high fire. so i
can swap a pot thru all of the processes with no problem.

the idea of a BIG chip n dipper is handy for lots of things. thing
big. a big bowl in the middle with a BIG bowl on the outside is handy
to have as a refridgerator...

i make wine cooler ice buckets. make a "chip n dip" style bowl, and
put holes into the inner one like a collander. fill the outer one
with ice and add water. put the wine bottle in the middle one....

Beginner's Question--Potter's Wheel

pottery wheels have a great resale value. if, like in woodworking for
you, things do not work out you can still sell a potters wheel easily
for not a big loss.

typical nuts on the screw shaft & you tighten as much as you like.

found it to be a smooth paced reliable source of good info & very good

well i guess most all fruits & veggies? imagine a BIG bowl & BIG lid
with holes like a colandar? the concept i think is to let air flow
thru & not trap moisture.

How dose one "fill in" the cracks on a crackle glaze?

i've heard of this too, but never wanted to do any myself. i think tea
is used sometimes. as with an old tea cup. the cracks start to show
up in time.
