The end is getting nearer....
of DH's nightmare quilt. Thank the stars! I'm up to sewing the half
whirligigs together (these go on either end of alternate rows). Then I need to press all the rows and lay them out to figure out how many "joiner" pieces I need. Then it's cutting and sewing together but I really can see the end. I don't have more up to date pictures but for a piccy what the quilt should look like at the end go to http://www.duquilts.com.au/DownUnderQuilts/index.html and it's about halfway down the page under "Four Heirloom Quilts". My fabrics are way different and some of my whirligigs "point" the other way but you get the idea. This is a stolen/lost quilts page - I couldn't believe it when I saw the quilt I'm making (the exact same one that DH picked out of AP & Q magazine) pictured there. -- Sharon From Melbourne Australia (Queen of Down Under)(with another hour left to quilt before picking up the kidlets from school and kinder) http://www.geocities.com/shazrules/craft.html |
