cross stitcher/embroiderer wanted!

hello,

My name is Analisa Goodin, I am a fine artist
currently working in West Oakland. I am working on a
series of work which requires cross stiching, and I am
looking to outsource for this project.
This series will require three to five pieces (maybe
more depending on how well they turn out) in the size
of 8x 10 inches.
I am not knowledgeable about the cross stitching
process, and the differences between crochet,
embroidery and cross stitch, but I am quiter clear on
the aesthtic I need, so I would need to sit down first
and talk with you about the project and it's
guidelines.
Do you live in the Bay Area? And would you be
interested?
If so, I would need to see samples of your work, which
you could email to this adress.
Thanks so much for your time, and I look forward to
hearing from you,
Analisa Goodin

Lots of luck finding a x-stitcher......

Several years ago, I saw a 'picture' in a CrossStitch magazine and looked
around the twin cities to find someone to do it for me.... At the time, I had
the funds to pay well..... No luck.... If I wanted that piece (and I did),
I'd have to do it myself.
So, I did my first (and last) x stitch....a piece that took a couple of years.
It had a few variations....some of which were planned.
But, 'the Button Vendor' hangs on my wall...

I didn't see the orginal post, but from this response - the original poster
might want to check out GhostStitchers
www.ghoststitchers.com . They do
cross-stitch for people - either finishing started pieces or working entire
pieces - they send the xstitch out to people who stitch for them (I am one of
the ghoststichers).
