Selling/swapping fabric by
TinaR
I just finished a major overhaul of my stash, and realized that I have
some fabric that I think I could sell/swap. Do any of you have
recommendations for placed online where you have sold or swapped
fabric or other quilting-related things?

Bamboo Blend Batting Report by
Pat in Virginia
As promised, I am reporting on a new batting product. I bought Fairfield
Bamboo and Cotton Blend at JoAnn's. IIRC, it was about $30 for a 'large
queen' size batting, but of course I paid less with a coupon.
The long arm quilter was very pleased with this batting. She liked the way
it handled,...

A Quilting Weekend in Virginia (Long) by
Pat in Virginia
Last weekend I was lucky to participate in a special quilting weekend, on a
lovely lake in the foothills here in Virginia. The sponsor/organizer was
tithe Virginia Consortium of Quilters, a collection of quilters and guilds.
This was my first time at this bi-annual activity, which is called VCQ...

Ginger in CA
A local person has a Kenmore model 158 1400 for sale, for $35. Can't
find anything on this machine. Does it do more than straight stitch?
Anyone know where I can find info on this before I think seriously
about getting this to replace my Scout who is now unsafe to use....
thanks in advance
Ginger...

wallpaper update by
KJ
I've started using the fabric softener and hot water. Seems to be working
very well. Not terribly fast (but neither am I) but everything is coming
off very clean. And my house and hands smell really good! I'm glad I can
open the windows....too much of that smell isn't a good thing!

New to me Treadle by
AuntK
One day, a couple of years ago on the way to a hot air balloon
festival, I picked up an old treadle sitting on the side of the road.
That was an adventure all to itself. Now that I'm unemployed and the
weather is finally getting nice, I pulled the beast onto the back
porch and started cleaning. ...

Halloween and Purple by
Kay Ahr[_2_]
When did purple become part of Halloween Not that I'm complaining. I
participated in a 10" square Halloween fabric swap a couple of years ago.
That's when I noticed the purple sneaking in. I can always remember little
splashes of green...

I'm so relieved. by
KJ
I have a contract with a national speaker to come to our guild next month.
Our meeting is on a Monday night and our workshops are the day after.
Someone contacted me about which day the workshop is because she had saved
both days on her calendar. I checked my calendar that hangs on the wall by...

nearing a happy dance by
Ms P
I got two quilt tops finished yesterday. I'm going to quilt the one for my
grandson since the quilter I use is booking clear into November and I want
him to have it before then. The time quilt is going to be quilted by her
but probably not until January at the earliest since she'll cut off...

And it's legal! by
Sunny[_2_]
Yesterday I had so much fun, my friend and I kept looking at each
other and giggling in amazement that it's legal.
My dear friend T. is an artist and the most generous soul I've ever
met. She donates all of the quilts she makes to foster children.
Anyway, some time back she made the most...

Anne Rogers
A friend's husband has just been diagnosed with stage 4 hodgkins
lymphoma, we were talking this morning and it was obvious that a big
thing on her mind is organising the house so as to be able to keep it
clean. The big challenge is they have preschool age children, which
makes that a lot more...

from some of the Fleece Mountain I own. What is the best way to sew
with fleece? The times I have worked with strips of it, it has come
out rather wavy. How do other get round this? I have tear-out
stabiliser... is the answer...
