VERY, VERY OT A rant organ transplants by
Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.
If you are in the State of Utah, in multi-system organ failure and on
death's doorstep, you can be put into the #1 spot on the liver
transplant list. If they have a liver of the correct size and correct
tissue match and you are too ill to survive the transplant surgery they
will tell you to wait a...

Greetings again! by
Terri
To cut to the chase and exclude the harrowing saga of our return to
Idaho from Louisiana we are unpacked, in our home, re-acquainting
ourselves with our grandchildren and I've been putting a serious dent in
my quilting stash lately.
A couple of them are shown...

Bobbin Problem by
Mika
I have a problem with my bobbin that I wonder if anyone else has
experienced. If so, what did you do to resolve it. The problem is this:
As long as the bobbin is full the thread works fine but when it gets down
about halfway the thread starts slipping out of the bobbin case and winds
around the...

Cheating the binding by
redpenner
I'm finishing a couple of quilts for our local quilt show, and I've
been advised by the ladies in my quilt guild that my bindings are too
flat (even though that's the way I like them). What is the current
feeling on "padding" the binding with strips of batting before sewing
it down?

Complex Look - Simple Sewing (was Where do you find the time) by
Kate G.
We're collecting ideas here... for quilts that LOOK COMPLEX or just plain STUNNING... but really
aren't terribly demanding or time consuming to make.
I mentioned in the other thread -- I think it was a Rail Fence -- that was done in 2 colors ( 2
fabrics) and several of us sat for several minutes...

Many of you have been kind and interested in my book - and its progress!
Well, I just wanted to let you know that I have just come back from a

diagrams, text, everything! to my publisher. We had our meeting
yesterday, and he...

New project by
Sandy Foster
At our local show last March, I found a wonderful striped fabric that
sat on my ironing board for a couple of months before I could decide
what to do with it. But decide I finally did -- whew! -- and I've now
started working on the project. The first block can be seen...

Aimless musings about personality and quilting by
Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.
I've been sewing since 4 a.m. due to a pain-filled night. It's my
distraction when it gets rough. While mindlessly sewing strips for a
bunch of 4 patches for the Christmas Tennessee Waltz quilts, I got to
thinking about how my basic personality traits strictly dictate what
type of quilts I make. ...

Help Me Choose Please- Why EQ5 is evil by
silverbells
I have had this WIP for some time. It has stumped me as to how to
finish it. I had asked for help on utilizing a Delectable Mountains
border. Well, I finally bought a copy of EQ5. This is when the trouble
started.
I have way too many ideas on how to border this quilt. I posted nine

a mascot? by

Watching Simply Quilts the other day, the guest talked about an online

when any guild members were at a show, they'd wear a pink flamingo pin
to id themselves just in case any other members were in attendance.
Could RCTQ members...

My boxes were a hit! I wish I'd started earlier so I could have played with
more embellishing ideas. I have several more cut out, ready to embellish
when needed. Maybe I'll play with those after the holidays!
