My Jessamy's 4th of July Surprise quilt top by elspeth
The digital colors are not accurate -- the blue is darker and the red is brighter. I made lots of mistakes but learned a lot in the process. http://community.webshots.com/photo/2503640980093276027FLekWZ

Baby quilt finished!! by Sunny
Yay! I finished quilting and binding the baby quilt last night and it's off ot its new home today at noon. I'm really excited. I've only seen photos of little Andrea so far, but she's obviously a true beauty. The quilt was started after my mom sent me an old McCall's magazine article. Then I saw...

Frustration.... by Sandy Foster
I've been babysitting a lot for the past few days -- all the more so since DH is out of town and can't give me a break all day long. It's been a long time since I've had toddlers around for any length of time, and it wears me out! G But that's not what has me frustrated -- it's just probably...

OT why I'm a pack rat by KJ
But not a good enough one! DD just called to ask me to look for old clothes for "Totally 80's Day" at band camp. (She's the director.) A friend and I had a business back in the 80's in Scottsdale. We decorated clothes (think long T-shirts with rhinestones and appliques and "clips" to pull the...

OT The Joy of the QI by Polly Esther
This week, DH and I have been wallpapering a tiny bathroom. There is not one window, door, light switch or corner in that room that is true, level and square. Before we were half begun, both of us made the movie 'Grumpy Old Men' look like a picnic. In the middle of wallpaper glue dripping...

My Quilt Collection Groweth by Terri
I wish I'd done this as I went instead of having to go back and collect everything and put it in one place now but so it goes. I'm testing driving a slide show with some of my quilts of the past 3 years. I've got a few more to dig up but for now, this'll do, I think. Please let me know if you have...

New QI photos, mini update and thanks!! by Charlotte Hippen
Photos have now been added to my QI album (webshots link is in sig. line). I need to add pictures to my projects albums, but the new QI is keeping me very busy. He really likes the stuffies that we got him and a nylon(?) of sorts teething bone. So far he doesn't like the plastic squeak toys. ...

Which months would be the best to visit Scotland, Ireland, & Wales? DH & I are looking into a nice trip in 2007 or possibly late this year. This is one of the ones we are interested in. We were thinking late April, but we don't know. We can go anytime. Sherry Starr

Men's shirts quilt by Lobo
Could someone direct me to a site with a photo of a quilt made from men's shirts? I saw it somewhere a long time ago ... was sewn so the collar and sleeves were still on the shirt/s. When I Google "men's shirt quilt" or similar phrasing, I get thousands of hits, but they all seem to be for...

Stupid ironing question by desert quilter
This sounds stupid, but the fabric I have chosen for a swap seems to be ironing resistent! When I iron it, it looks flat and nice, but by the time the fabric cools down, it's back to its previous wrinkly state. I tried sprinkling it with water. Same result. It's a rather heavy 100% cotton...

Hi Everyone, I went to my Guild's retreat from Thursday thru Sunday in Sonoma, CA. It's the first time I have gone. Everyone always raves about how much fun it is & this year, I made my mind up to go. I went with 3 other girlfriends, but I can see how you could easily go by yourself. Our...

6th Annual Hallow's End Swap by frood
This is not a time to worry over the Forsaken or the Goblins of Gnomeregan. The valiant heroes of the Alliance will triumph over their foes. ahem. Excuse me. What I mean to say is. it's time for the 6th Annual Hallow's End Swap. This year, instead of swapping fabric, we are swapping sets of...

My first time - not really OT ;) by Maria in NC
I made my first fabric postcard this morning. http://community.webshots.com/photo/548605716/2607603950035982286tpZBxr I am not sure if the result justifies the amount of work that went into it - like spending half of the morning searching for the instructions to my sewing machine so I could use...
