This is ON topic because I'm sure some of those books

OT help with child eating by
Joanna[_2_]
I have a just 5 yr old that refuses to eat what she doesn't think she
will like. A couple of nights ago I made hamburger soup. Essentially
just hamburger and grated carrots. Things she has eaten well before.
Well she sat at the table for almost an hour, gagging and making all
sorts of noise....

Sunglasses required! by
Patti
Those of you who know me fairly well will be 'surprised' to see these
quilts! Well - it's one really, double-sided.
I am showing you at this stage, in case the double-siding doesn't work
(Eek!) or in case I mess up the quilting (double Eek!). In any case, I
don't think the quilting will show...

OT Polly has a camera by
Polly Esther[_5_]
You asked for it and it could be that you are going to get it. Pat on Her
Hill persuaded me that I didn't need to learn how to shoot high-level
complicated things. All I want to do is take simple pictures and send them.
That's all.
I got truly jealous when Carole sent me a picture of an...

OT Cleaning, griping & hardwood floors! by
Leslie& The Furbabies in MO.
I do not like cleaning my house- but I try to do some cleaning every day so
it doesn't get out-of-hand. I know some ladies/men get a great deal of
satisfaction from and enjoy keeping a clean and neat house. I like the
results but NOT the process. I'm trying to re-adjust my thinking into it...

Annoying Webshots Audio plug-ins by
John
I have noticed that Webshots has started using annoying plugins to
flog something or other that requires you to unclick it to make it
stop it's syrupy voiced intrusion. It might be time to look for a new
photo hosting site. Any suggestions? Thank heavens I have copies of
all my photo's in a back up...

Your favorite trick? by
Polly Esther[_2_]
My grandmother would call this an "old Indian trick". She didn't worry
about being politically correct since she was an American Indian. Anyhow .
.. .
I just set 28 beautiful sampler squares on point. Generally, the
outside of the squares are ivory. The setting triangles are so dark...

Quilt class dilemma by
AliceW
I went to the NJ Quilt Fest yesterday as I do every year. Last year I
bought a needle punch kit complete with fabric, pattern, and threads. Then
of course I needed the special needle and a hoop. A pretty hefty investment
for a craft I had not done before. The pattern I purchased was a Goose...

Pami update by
pami
I had the reconstruction...part one on the 12th of December. I swear I have
been in my own personal hell since. I have to say so far the surgeon has
done a good job. Next week I am ready again for more saline in the breast
expander. It's painful and uncomfortable but the end result should be...

Wal-Mart fabric by
Boca Jan
If any of you frequent Wal-Mart fabric section, I just heard on CNN that WM
has decided to discontinue fabrics. They will expand their crafting
supplies. Fabrics need someone to always be there to measure and cut, and
they can save $$ by not selling fabric. Not that their fabric was all that...

Help Please fabric gift boxes by
Cats
Not so long ago someone posted pictures of some gorgeous
little favour boxes made of fabric. They were beaded and
embroidered.
The thread included links to other box designs for similar
items. I have searched and Googled but I can't find them.
Grateful if anyone can help by pointing me in...

Christmas Tree WUH 'beads' by
Butterflywings
I'm planning on finishing DD's Christmas WUH. It's about 3' X 5'. I'd like
to put some shiny 'beads, baubles, stones' on it. I need advice on HOW TO. I
know there is a 'heat gun' that you put sparklies on with but I don't know
what I'm talking about. Do any of you have one? How does it work? is...

Hi! I'm new here and have never belonged to a newsgroup before. How do
I change the way my name displays? Currently it shows my real name, and
I'd like to use my nickname. I would be grateful if someone could help
me with that....TIA

sewing machine woes by
Anne Rogers[_3_]
So, I've been having this problem that when quilting, my sewing machine
skips stitches, then eventually the upper thread snaps. So it went in
for a check/repair. Apparently they adjusted some things, but there was
nothing specifically wrong.
Today was my first chance to try quilting with it...
