Stash bash got an early start by
julia sidebottom
You can't imagine how excited I was when my niece Angie called me the
other morning and we got an early start on our Stash Bash. She
originally said she wouldn't be able to get here until Tuesday. What a
surprise.
Well she pulled all the yardage out of my primary stash cupboards and
was...

Misty Fuse by
Sunny
A friend just sent me two yards of Misty Fuse. I'm hooked. I know that
somebody here has an online store that sells the stuff but I can't
remember who it is (pardon my rotten memory). Can whoever sells the
Misty Fuse please send me a private email? Appreciate it.
And for anybody thinking about...

Where in the world is Jeanne??? by
off kilter quilter
Update: Jeanne is driving a rental car from Charlottesville, VA to
Charlotte, NC today. ALL flights were completely overbooked, so this
was the only way she could start her travels to Houston.
Things are WAY out of control here, and it was at the decision of my
husband that her trip was so...

Is there a Bernina quilters discussion group? by
MaleQuilter
We just got a Bernina 640E with Editor Plus software and the embroidery
module. My wife is an experienced quilter and has a Bernina 150. I
have never sewn, quilted or embroidered before. The new machine has a
decent manual but I sure would like to find a discussion group.

Corduroy Quilt? by
Debra
I've got a lot of corduroy in pinks and blues. It's nice soft stuff
that will probably be even softer after washing. Can I use it to make
a quilt top? Will I need to use big seam allowances?

Skipping on ice by
polly esther
I thought my Bernina was skipping stitches - she would go along just fine
for a while and then toss in a stitch of about double the length of the
others. I did the drill; changed needles, thread, bobbin, cleaned
everything - all of that. I gave up and turned the Bernie in to the nice
repair...

Focus on Applique: Odd Embellishments by
Debra
I'm borrowing Pat's Focus on Design idea for a series of applique
oriented discussions. I don't know how many I might come up with but
here is the second one.
Sometimes fabric just doesn't provide the needed oomph we want in a
wall hanging or quilt block so we turn to other sources for...

fabshop hop is anyone participating by
Jacqueline
I am just wondering if anyone is participating in the FabShop Hop and
if they know how it works. I know you visit all these shops and find
all these rabbits, but does it help to go over the number that you
must find to be eligible to win the grand prize?
I have found 132 and it just takes 130...

Introduction by
[email protected]
Just wanted to introduce myself here. I love to stitch, and I love to
create my own designs. I don't log in as much sewing time as I'd like
being that I have two little ones, but I try! I live in Southeastern
Pa - heart of Amish country, and so I learned to stitch as a kid.
Can't say I was so...

Took a 5 week Adult Education class that ended on Tuesday. The last
night is show and tell. Here are the pictures of our quilts. I had
never attempted prairie points before and had a ball adding them to my
