[OT] Cluttered Sewing Area by
Bev in TX
My sewing room is a small bedroom that we use as a pantry and storage
room. My sewing machine table is tucked in along one wall. My
ironing board is on the other side of the room in front of the closet,
which I cannot use. I have a cutting table in the middle , which
leaves just a little room to...

Spare Change by
Polly Esther[_2_]
I emptied a kitchen drawer today and cleaned it. It's what we call the spoon
drawer. (Not that I expect any sympathy from any of you but having 2
kitchens does require twice the cleaning.) At the back of the divider
thingie for spoons, we toss: paper clips, bread twists, unidentified keys,...

Done! by
KJ
I have 168 fabric "treasure boxes" finished! If more are needed.....tough
luck!!! :-) Maybe. Now...time to get outside and enjoy the beautiful
summer I have heard we've had. I need to see if it's only a rumor.

waxing quilting thread by
julia sidebottom
In all the time I have been on this NG I have not heard any discussion
on waxing quilting thread when hand quilting. I am wondering if I am
the only one that does this or are there others that do this. I do know
it make the thread much easier to work with and less likely to fray
along the way...

So how many of you own the all important QIs?
The last time I came here regularly they were often topic of
conversation.
I have a two year old Domestic long hair tabby named Lula Belle. She
likes to drag remnants and toss offs around the house. She also likes to
nest in the newly manufactured...

Hi to everyone! Now don't fall out of your chair. It really is me!

Electric Quilt 6? Worth it?? by
Connie[_2_]
I feel like a total dunce asking this - but does anyone here have EQ6 -
and if so, do they like it? Is it easy to learn/use? Do the "advanced
pattern design" features work as well as the web site says they do?
Also, I've heard that EQ is raster based (using pixels) while Illy (my
drawing app of...

Watcha need, Watcha got? by
quilter
With the new directory coming soon, how about a new thread of 'what you
need' and 'what you've got'? What is everyone working on? I have a
few squishies ready to go, so apologies for anyone waiting on anything
from me. It's a silly excuse, but I need to buy some envelopes.

House Update, OT/CP by
CNYstitcher
Well, we finally got the inspection report on the "dream" house. There
is visible rot in the wall studs of the basement, which would require
the house be jacked/supported so that the walls could be taken out and
rebuilt. We're talking several thousand dollars worth of work. So, we
retracted our...

OT taxes questions - any experts? by
Dr. Quilter
Obviously I know nothing about taxes. Just got a shock when I did the
calculations for 2003 and noticed for the first time we owe a big chunk
(at least for us, since in the past we always got a couple hundred bucks
back). Remember we rent, we don't get too much interest from savings
accounts, and...

Hi Guys,
After being called the nastiest mouthed person here by the "lighthouse
