back home again by
CNYstitcher
Well, I am back, and I have *so* much to do to get things taken care of.
My Nanny passed away on February 2nd and we had her memorial service
last night, with a graveside service this morning at 11am. However,
because of the ice storm that was due to cross our path, Ken, the
children and I did...

lighting by
Cindy Schmidt
Can someone recommend a better type of lighting than fluorescent bulbs?
I have my business in the basement where there are absolutely NO windows.
After working for a couple of hours, it gets kinda hot in there after
sitting next to the bulbs.
I need to have a light right next to my machine but do...

Advice heeded by
Denise G.
Well, I finished the top for my friend's Mary Englebreit quilt and I was
going to sandwich and quilt it on Wednesday, but unfortunately I
discovered that I either asked for or was given 1/2 yard less material
than I actually wanted for the back. I was really bummed out as I had
psyched myself up...

Who wants to swap scraps?????? by
Connie Einarson
I know that some of you like very small squares and I don't!
I won a grab bag door prize from an LQS, and included were fabric
samples from the manufacturers. All are LQS quality, and all different.
Some are 2 inch squares, a few 2.5 inch squares and some 3 inch squares.
I would love to trade...

our elementary school and moving on to middle school this year and my

For anyone who was interested in the dry iron from the Vermont Country
Store, I received mine this week. (NAYY)
First of all I have to say that the customer service was excellent as many
here told me it would be. Not only did they send a sale confirmation email,
it had a spoiler space in it in case...

was supposed to be my sewing day by
judy in fort worth
Today is the first day of my winter break. I had set aside today for
uninterrupted sewing. Well, I never should have decided to move the
mini-stash out of the closet into the sewing room/guest bedroom. (My DS
just moved out!) That thing just led to another and I spent the morning
cleaning out...

Anyone have Foundation Piecer editions? by

Hey there -

them. They are like the center block of the DWR, curved on 4 sides. They
aren't pointed, are about 3" across at the top of the curve.I have no...
