Brenda posted to the list today. Those are her words, and she did
explain herself well. Asking 12% is much less what the average agent
gets on comission was mentioned there.

Note to Brenda Reid by
Francis Reid
If you're reading this, you're well enough to go to work. If you still
think you're not well enough, I know you're too sick to play with the
new Juki and your quilting frame, so go back to bed and I'll be home
this afternoon to take care of you. Lay back, eat bon bons and fondle
your fabric.
Your...

Machines and thread question by
muse9
Do some machines simply not like certain thread brands? I have a 3 year old
Kenmore machine and until now I have only used Kenmore needles and Coats and
Clark thread. The more I learn about quilting the more I realize that I
should be using a better thread and maybe better needles as well. ...

My no longer missing son by
Marlys in Indiana
It would appear that the body found is that of my son, but they will not
consider it 100% until they check dental records. So absolute identity will
still take a little longer. Talked to the deputy coroner yesterday about
it.
But he was wearing the clothes he had been wearing, his wallet...

Spring Inspirations? by
[email protected]
Hi everyone:
With the weather beginning to warm up here in New Hampshire and
anticipating the gorgeous spring colors to follow, I am itching to
create a new wall quilt featuring spring colors. Yellow, purple and
green are on the top of my list, but I am also wondering what color
combinations make...

Not real sure what happened to... by
Karlee In Kansas
this group.
I left this group over a year ago because of all the hate mail, snide
remarks, and general bitchy-ness of the group.
I had been here for the better part of 5 years when I left. I had taken a
year off in there somewhere because of a lack of internet access.
I'm a recipient of a HUG. ...

Disappearing 9 patch tutorials by
Lisa Caryl[_2_]
I was cruising the 'net today and I found a couple of blogs that have free
tutorials on this tecnique. I don't recall seeing any posts about it, so
forgive me if it's old news.
The first link shows the tecnique done in a scrappy...

Look Ma! No hands by
Polly Esther[_2_]
Well, fewer fingers anyway. I don't believe I did this. I was doing a
teensy-tiny close stipple around a giraffe's ear and needled right through a
finger. Since the ambulances must come in here via pirogue and nobody comes
in after dark, doing something stupid is simply not acceptable.

OT Read your bill by
polly esther
If you do online shopping, pay very close attention to your bill. I just
took a hit for $1,200 worth of software. Me? Yeah, right . . . I'm the one
who's still learning to take pictures of my thumb with the telephone. What
on earth would I do with a $1,200 software package? Fortunately, my...

guilty secrets... by
Linda Sweigart
I bet we've all got some guilty (but humorous) little secrets regarding our
quilting endeavors... right?
Come on, admit it, right? ;-)
Ok, here's mine... can you top it? I bought EQ5 over 2 1/2 years ago... and
haven't done a dang thing with it yet. In fact I've barely even peeked at
it. Shame...

mundial vs gingher scissors by
Wren
Hi,
I would like to know what people think about the Mundial brand for
knife blade sewing scissors and the dressmaker's shears in comparison
to Gingher? I'm looking into buying the 6" knife blade sewing scissors
or the 7" dressmaker shears. I have the lightweight gingher thread
snips (with the...

What did I do wrong? by
Eli
I am soooo frustrated. I'm making a quilt. Square in a square. Inner
border. Outer border with mitered corners. I just finished putting the
outside border on and laid it flat on the carpeting. The square in a square
part is "bunchy"... looks like there's excess there and doesn't lay
perfectly...

together which is better on making a quilt, hand sewn or a sewing
machine?

Where to stay in London? by
Monique in TX[_2_]
Does anyone have any recommendations of a decent, simple, place to stay
in London that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? U.S. budget type hotels
are going for ca. $200 per night in July.
Thanks,
Monique
