What's your favorite?! by
SewVeryCreative[_3_]
My DD and I were just talking about our latest quilt projects and what we
like best about quilting ... it was probably the best conversation we've had
in a few months! So I was just wondering what ya'll thought ...
What's *your* favorite part of quilting? Why?
Mine is the hand-quilting ... I've...

Some OT things and some very on topic. G by
Pati Cook
Hi all. Just a quick note to ask for some positive thoughts tonight.
(Fri.) and on through the weekend. Wed. night I was in for an overnight
sleep study. I do have apnea, and some other problems. None life
threatening, but probably the reason for the no energy, constant
headache and so on....

Another one finished. :) by
Sandy
I'd been saving the handwork on my latest quilt so I could take it with
me to my jury duty. It's a good thing I called the day before, though;
they not only didn't allow *any* scissors -- they didn't even allow
needles! :O BTW, jury duty (my seventh in 9.5 years here) was at least
partially...

Your thoughts on Christmas tree skirts? by
Polly Esther[_5_]
Between the wedding and Christmas goings on, I never did wrap gifts; just
sacked them and handed them out. That was okay. The traffic coming through
all seemed to admire the barren Christmas tree skirt and begged for one.
So. I would like to make four before Dec 1st.
Here's ambivalence at...

block of the month recommendations by
Ann Adamson
I think I would like to try a block of the month in 2004.
(Or maybe a block-every-two-months - I might actually be able to keep up
with that!)
Anybody have any suggestions on where I can find a good one?
I'd like something mostly pieced but an applique block or two would be
OK. And it would be...

Time to check in! by

What project is on your sewing table... in your machine or in your lap
right now.
Me -- I just finished binding a lap sized kitty quilt (Darcy Aston appliqué
patterns).
I have another baby quilt that needs the label.
And I have 13 small quilts (6" x 9") to bind. They are a Santa and numbers...

Valdani thread sale - direct from the warehouse by
jennellh
They are only selling off the larger spools to make more storage for
an increased inventory of the smaller sizes. The colours are all so
luscious - enjoy playing with them, jennellh

Heat n bond question? by
[email protected]
You can buy this heat and bond at Wal-mart as I use it all the time. You apply it to the back of the fabric, then heat it with an iron, pull off paper and then applique it. Don't think it would work for turning under but works good for blanket stitch or zig zag.

I went to a quilt show last Sunday--long by
Debra
It was my first time at a quilt show. I tried to get my mom to go
too, but she wouldn't because she didn't want to be discouraged in her
own efforts by looking at totally perfect quilts. I thought about
taking the Rose Dream twin quilt she finished for me but I didn't
because I thought it would...
