Good Sampler Sites? by
Richard Grimes
Does anyone have any good sites for cross stitch samplers. I really
like doing them but not a lot of them move me to stitches! I am
always on the lookout for good ones. TIA!

OT - Life on Mars by
anne
The last episode of Life on Mars aired last night on BBC America. I'm
not sure I understood the ending.
He came out of his coma, didn't like the present, jumped off a building
(suicide??) and landed back in the 70's in the afterlife or another
dream state ... true/false?

I don't even remember how I found this website but wow - beautiful designs.
The 3-dimensional Noah's ark needlework set is fabulous! They have lots of
unusual biscornus as well.

Round Three of Batten Down the Hatches by
MargW
Decided that we needed to visit my brother in Parry Sound this weekend.
He's just been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and phone calls
are just not enough. After carefully checking weather we headed north
- took us about 5 1/2 hours on what should be a four hour trip. The
roads were...

HAPPY DANCE (and ahead of schedule, too!) by
Karen C in California
Sesame Street is done! It's sitting in OxyClean as we speak (some of
the whites were a bit dingy-looking).
It needs to be in the mail by Friday, so I'm well ahead of schedule. :)

New shop opening! by
[email protected]
Hi, everyone! It's been years since I've posted to the rct groups.
Doesn't help that my ISP doesn't even have Usenet Newsgroups as a
service anymore. :( Anyhow, for those of you who remember me as Teri
Rasmussen George, I've got a new name (Teri Walsh) and a new little
shop that's just start...

OT - a telling story by
Bruce Fletcher (Stronsay, Orkney)
An 86-year-old man went to his doctor for his quarterly check-up. The
doctor asked him how he was feeling, and the 86-year-old said, "Things
are great and I've never felt better. I now have a 20 year-old bride who
is pregnant with my child. So what do you think about that Doc?"
The doctor...

OT- another ditty by
Naomah[_2_]
The one we used to get the kids (9 and up) with is:
I'm not a sheet slitter, I'm a sheet slitter's son.
I slit sheets all day, 'till the sheet slittings done.
They would turn red and get to laughing so hard. It was great fun.

Stitching Stupidity by
Richard Grimes
That would be me.... I was moving my Gazelle into position and
knocked over a full glass of water... not too bad, yet...
In trying to get the stand out of the way and quickly clean up the
spill I knock the stand over. My favorite ghinghers (spelling?) were
hanging on the stand and the stand...

Teaching kids recycling can be fun! by

Great Way to Recycle!
Ever wonder what to do with the "stuff" that is left-over when you
finish an art project. Stuff like yarn, felt, colorful buttons, beads,
colored pencils, paper scraps with interesting designs, fabric - those
things just a bit too small to use. Well, here's an idea! Why...

de-framing was worth it by
val189
I couldn't stand it any longer. I had done a piece of needlepoint
involving a gray cat and had put black whiskers on him, which seemed
to dominate the whole scene and made him look more like a rat. It was
the suggested color, but....
Took it to my framer, she took it all apart. Once home, I...
