quilt show "how to" question by
Karen, Queen of Squishies
We're talking about having an outdoor quilt show here, but there's something
we can't figure out. What do you about birds dropping by - or dropping in -
or just - - - dropping. We're afraid of getting the quilts ruined. That's
all we'd need for our first local quilt show to end in a big...

Blind stitch for binding by
AliceW
Has anyone tried this method of sewing the binding to the back of a quilt?
I know it's not supposed to be used for heirloom quilts or show quilts, but
I have some quilts that are scrap quilts and basic utility quilts that I
would love to find an easier way to sew the back binding down. Don't...

I won a ribbon! by
teleflora
I was stunned that I won a ribbon for this little quilt. I woke up at 5
last Saturday. We were taking in quilts for the show for this weekend and I
knew I was going to be stressed and I fell awake waaaaay too early.
It's not like me to start sewing that early. I've stayed up that late
sewing,...

Using "favorite" fabric by
Patti S
I just used the very last scrap of one of my favorite fabrics, a dog
print from Laurel Burch. I decided I would get more, because I love it
so much. After searching 54 pages on quiltshops.com, there was nary a
dog print to be found - I'm so bummed! There were plenty of other
animals, and tons of...

question about machine quilting machines by
Musicmaker
Since I have TOO MANY QUILTS to make and not enough years to hand
quilt them all, I'm researching the possibility of purchasing a sewing
machine (NOT LONGARM) that can accomodate more bulk than the average
machine between the needle and the body of the machine. I don't have
the space or money for...

Quick and easy! :D by
Sandy
When I was in Flagstaff for camp last month, I saw some adorable little
cell phone cases at the LQS there. The pattern was *almost* ready to be
printed, and I had them send me one when it was finished. Today I've
made three of these little things -- each one only takes a very little
time to...

bug jars pattern by
Andrea Miller
Does anyone remember the wallhanging pattern with the jars of creepy
crawlies on shelves?
I think there were 9 jars in all. I've been looking for the pattern with no
luck,
I guess it's been discontinued. Does anyone have one they would like to
sell for a reasonable
price?
