Quilt Show in Virginia, February by
Pat in Virginia
Hello! It is almost time for the annual Mid Atlantic
Quilt Festival near my home. It has been held in
Williamsburg in past years. Now it will be located in
HAMPTON, Virginia.
We nearly always have some sort of RCTQ get together
and had a specific meeting spot in Wmbg. It is always
great fun. Now...

Completed at last! by
WhansaMi
Wow..... wow. Those are just.... wow.
Pat, I am a math teacher, and I'd love to show the website to my students.
Could you tell me how you came up with the concept? I'd love to tell them more
information about how these came to be.
Again, those are just wonderful.

quilting a tshirt quilt by
Marijke
Attention machine quilting gurus!
Despite the many quilts I've made, only a few have been MQed and I'm just
about ready to quilt the raffle t-shirt quilt. I have a thin cotton batting
and a flannel backing. Is there anything specific to quilting a tshirt quilt
that I should be aware...

OT a new age (funny) by
Pat in Virginia
OFF TOPIC, Put Beverages Down!
You know this is a new age when:
1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave.
2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.
3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your
family of 3.

OT giggle by
maryd
This is a true story If you have children you will probably relate to
this father.
As ham sandwiches go, it was perfection.
A thick slab of ham, a fresh bun crisp lettuce and plenty of
expensive, light brown, gourmet mustard.
The corners of my jaw aching in anticipation, I carried it
to the ...

my sewing machine's miraculous recovery! by
Marijke
I just got The Phone Call. I'd been waiting anxiously all day. How was my
Iris doing?
She pulled through. It was but a minor ailment, easily managed by the tender
loving care of the visiting technician. She has been restored! Her scratched
bobbin case was filed smooth and her timing is now on...

Sunbonnet Sue gone bad by
Debi Matlack
In regards to this swap, have you seen the quilt at The Quilt Index? It's
called "The Sun Sets on Sunbonnet Sue" and it has Sue offing herself or
being sent to meet her Maker in many ways. Macabre, but funny.

The QI conspiracy - Kinda OT by
handmaiden
I get up today early enough that I can start work on a quilt (finally)
and start pulling fabric out in preparation to cut. What happens? The
QI's both decide it's midnight madness time and proceed to act like race
cars... followed by a toss the fabric contest. Thought I'd close them up
in the room?...

Choosing a quilter by
Polly Esther
This was such a surprise. I happened upon a quilt exhibit - not a real quilt
show - just 6 or 7 in a glass case sort of thing. They told me, very
proudly, that one of them had been a gift and quilted by the Amish.
Well. Maybe. Perhaps by the Amish Drum and Bugle Corps or the Amish
Teamsters Local...

OT - Hi to my friends by
Boca Jan
It has been a long time since I posted here - I hope nobody was trying to
get in touch with me via the list.
Anyway, my job is great, but with repairing the house and all the company, I
haven't had much of a chance to visit with you all. I made two quick quilts
for birthdays this month, got my bear...

Monique Reed
Howdy from Aggieland (College Station, TX)
I'm a botanist/quilter/stitcher/baker/writer married to a computer
guy. We haven't been blessed with children, but we have one spoiled
feline QI. Quiltwise, I have several projects in varying stages from
sketches to sacks of fabric to nearly quilted. ...

has anyone counted the roll call? by
Susan Laity Price
Has anyone counted the roll call? I have 203 entries in my folder. I
tried keep only original roll call information postings and eliminate
any replies welcoming , etc. If I am way short I will have to go
through the postings again one by one.

Tummy Tuck, Abdominoplasty, MR experience? by
Polly Esther
Gwen, I hesitated last night to respond to your post because I don't know a
thing about tummy tuck recovery. I do, however, know heaps about the
opportunity you have here with the twin grandsons. Ah, yes.
Make this a time you and they will always remember. Eat cold pizza for
breakfast or chocolate...

Paul & Suzie Beckwith
This is a long shot, very OT so please skip if you want - I fully
understand! But I'm hoping someone can give me some guidance, or at
least a bit of moral/mental support here...

Karen can't afford to pay me a proper wage - at...
