dkat
I want students to be able to see the 'blue' they are painting on with

can porcelain be sanded after fired by
mike
the reason I am asking is I am tiling a center island in my kitchen with
porcelain tile, and its almost all bullnose which is nothing more than
a piece of tile with one side sanded down ( taking the sharp edge and just
rounding it off a little. )
they charge an arm and leg for these bullnose...

Calling on Kiln experts by
DKat
I just discovered that our studio bought a skutt cone 6 kiln which is used
to do cone 6 glaze firings. We do probably 2 firings a week when things are
busy. Needless to say our brand new kiln is dropping in performance and we
will soon have to buy new elements. So.... Would it help significantly...

expansivity data - excel, burns or byrnes slips by
pbhj
Hi all ...
As I've mentioned I'm running a paint-your-own pottery studio. A local
potter (Newport, UK) is making up some items for us (bisqued mugs) which
we want to glaze with the rest of our stock (mainly Gare bisquefire,
some CountryLoveCeramics items too).
Trouble is getting the body and...

To Annemarie by
Sonya Ledet
Anneemarie,
Now that everyone has calmed down a bit, I would like to let you know the
honest mistake I made. I joined 3 news groups. 2 were limited to my local
area and this one wasn't. I didn't know that. I stupidly thought I was on
a local group and directed my question for that.
I just...

Question about undercoat by
April Ann
I'm using my red undercoat. I know you are suppose to put it on, then
put the clear overglaze over it, then fire. My question is if you can
fire it first without the overglaze on it to make sure the coverage is
correct, then fire again with the overglaze.

single firing ash glazes by
ali
Does anyone out there single fire ash glazes? As far as getting the
slop to stay on the pot there are no problems, the problem is that as,
in my experience, ash glazes are nicest when applied nice and thick,
the glaze water soaks onto the pot wall and causes cracking. I'm
guessing that I could get...

Compatibility issues with Sondahl DVD by
Brad Sondahl
Although most people have been very positive about my instructional

playing them on their DVD players. To add to that, last week my email
program lost most of my emails, including a couple from people having
trouble viewing...

Anyone here know much about ^02 engobes and glazes?
