My Moms Glass Table Broke Yesterday by Perkoff 3:16 Says I Just Whooped Your Ass
It's one of those tables you put on your deck outside, the wind picked up the umbrella and when I went outside to play with my dog I saw it in the pool, I didn't even notice the broken glass all over the deck. So I picked took the umbrella out of the pool and was about to put it back when I...

So if Javahut goes on vacation.... by FlameNwind
It has been mighty quiet around here! I would prefer to think that you are all SOOO busy with your glass that you haven't had time to post, rather than if Java don't play, ain't nobody playin'! I want to thank everyone that assisted me by sharing their approach to drilling fused glass. My big...

Need some discontinued glass... by Moonraker
I'm looking for some clear "Wavex". To refresh your memory, "Wavex" looks like a cross between seedy, water, and hammered textures. The closest thing I can find is Vegla, but the Vegla is too cloudy looking. I need some for repairs, so 12" pieces would be OK. TIA.

Help a girl out: 11 pendants on eBay going cheap!! by [email protected]
One of my early attempts at selling my pendants online is bombing. :-( As I had some various things lying around, I thought it would help clean up quickly if I posted them all together. So I have eleven dichro pendants in the auction, and the price is a measly buck right now. I thougth it would be...

who's doing mosaics here? by [email protected]
i think that another direction for me to head next (maybe in 6-9 months) might be mosaics... i had considered fusing but since it would require a whole different supply of glass (ie, i can't use the scrap glass i have now) i think those plans are not going to get off the ground...but the idea of...

I HATE Ladders by Glassman
I'm doing this really big Synagogue restoration job where I need to go up to the top of an extended 16 foot extension ladder to get to 5 windows. I'm getting too old for this kind of stuff. Sad to say but everytime I get a "high" job, I swear that this is the last one. I just don't feel comfy...

Wet belt sander update by David Billington
Thanks for the comments all, you were quite right the issue with the unit was most likely too little water as now it's back together and good water flow all is working fine with the belt speed as it was. In the end I made a new lower wheel support and shaft assembly as the originals were deemed not...

i found this on the ERSA website... apparently it's not for stained glass production, but general info for all soldering irons... i've always been told to NEVER use flux core solder...but i think that only refers to glass work.. does this info help to maintain the quality of your soldering...
