Tea/Coffee Staining by
Wanda
I have seen some tea/coffee stained items that were given a very
grungy look to them. Does anyone know how to do this? And does anyone
have a good recipe for tea/coffee staining?

Walmart 10cent floss by
Walker Family[_2_]
I just got home from my local Wal Mart and wanted to pass this along.
There was no big sale or announcement or clearance sign. The racks of
DMC floss had ten cents marked as if it were their usual price.
Normally, here in central Illinois, it is about 27 cents. It's worth
checking out.
This...

Mirjam - how are you? by
Walker Family[_2_]
I imagine the stress level is pretty high just now and wondered how
you were coping. During a time of holy days for many religions, it
seems especially sad that there's such discord in the world. Keep us
aware of your information about things in Israel, because it would be
interesting for those...

Mirjam - question about Haifa by
Walker Family[_2_]
My daughter is on a 3 week tour of Israel with a group of Jewish
educators. One stop will be in Haifa, and I noticed they are visiting
a German colony, Bat Galim Colony. What exactly is that?
The rest of the trip is all over Israel and they are seeing some
wonderful things. She's never been...

Floss for Men by
Walker Family[_2_]
I managed to get back to WalMart 3 times and probably stocked up on
500-600 skeins at 2 different stores for 10 cents each. I haven't
been back so I don't know if they sold out or not.
Today, my husband got a "crate" of bullets so heavy I can't bring it
in off the porch. I called the office to...

What are the Ashes by
wah.gb
I thought you might like to know what 'The Ashes' are!
The origins of cricket's oldest international contest go back to 1882,
when the third Australian team to tour England achieved the
unthinkable.
Until then, the English had never been beaten on home soil, but
Australia, led by by WL Murdoch,...

Poetry to stitch by
vlerk
Hi,
For my website I made a text generator which can print a chart of your own
text. Now I want to stitch some examples and I would like to ask your help
on this. Well, not on the stitching part but on finding a right poem, little
rhyme, limericks, a saying or whatever in English, which is not...

Needlework in Scotland by
vixola
Hi All,
I'm interested in taking up cross-stitch or some other style of needlework,
but I'm hopeless at learning from books. I was wondering, are there any
sewing-circles, or groups, or classes etc in the East of Scotland (Dundee -
Arbroath area)?
It may be a shot in the dark, but hopefully no...

stumpwork by

I am new to this group and don't know if there are any stumpworkers
around but would be grateful if anyone can tell me a website or other
address for supplies and tools. I have a book, printed in the UK, that
gives no sources. I think I can teach myself this skill if only I can
find the right wires...

Pronunciation of Aida by
Virginia Hughes
This is probably an old question hereabouts, but I am tired of never
knowing the answer so I am asking it of experts. I have an unabridged
dictionary, but it gives no defintion for Aida cloth, just 1)"an opera"
and 2)"female name". Both are pronounced Ah-ee-da. Does that apply to
the cloth, too, or...
