I'm suddenly enjoying samplers! by
Caryn
I don't know what happened, after years of ignoring the suckers, suddenly I own
two sampler charts and am about a 1/4 of the way thru my first sampler.
Two weeks ago I bought Quaker Sampler by Workbasket, and even got the Sampler
Threads it called for. Hiding cost of those fibers from Dude, as he...

Hi Guys,
Well, I set off tomorrow for points north -- Washington, DC, Harrisburg &
Hershey, PA. Hopefully, I will get to see some of The Smithsonian while we are
in DC. We'll be spending 5 days in PA and I plan to cram in as many Amish
quilt shops as I can :-)! Not taking any regular classes at...

Just for everyone's information, Herrschners closed the office of Stitcher's
World in Norcross GA (Atlanta) today, fired ALL of the staff, and is packing
the offices to take back to WI. No advanced notice was given. Employees were
told to pack up and leave immediately.

Semi OT - dang knitting by
Cheryl Isaak
I am busily knitting scarves as gifts for various buddies. Last night I fell
asleep while working on one of them. This AM when I did quick count, I
discovered that I had lost 5 stitches. Can't see where either. So unravel
and restart! I'm counting every few rows now!

Help with CATS class Monogram Lacis & Roses by

I received a pre-work kit for the Stoney Creek class Monogram Lacis &
Roses. The instructions say to do a border of pulled cross stitch and a
border of pulled backstitch, but give no instructions for these
stitches. I have found a pulled backstitch in one of my reference
books. It is a...

Thank you for everyone's help in learning about the alternative method of
cross stitching. I am using it now and I love it, it really makes
transistions from place to place the easiest. I have much better tension
with completing every stitch and don't get stuck with half a row done and
running out...

I finished crocheting and embroidering the baby blanket. The wool was
so soothing to touch and work with, and I had enough, that I made my
grandson a sweater,

I was wondering if Joan still has her, and if so, when was the angel going to
move on? I am going to be having major surgery and I wanted to get it stitched
before that if possible. If there is not that much left and if we all stitched
on her, what are the odds of me getting her back within two...
